Kira and Valder had settled into a scene reminiscent of domestic bliss with their furry babies napping soundly while Valder cooked another hearty and healthy meal.
This time he had strips of venison and wild boar that roasted with savory spices. He sauteed mushrooms with onions and green beans. These would sit on a bed of wild rice. As a finishing touch, he created an aromatic sauce with garlic and black pepper.
"Why are you here?" Valder asked suddenly as he stirred the various dishes he was working on.
Kira looked at him. She wasn't surprised he asked about it. In fact, she wondered what took him so long. Even if someone was oblivious or in complete denial, it was obvious that she and her pack weren't locals.
"I came to get my pets." She replied purposefully keeping her information minimal. Kira was unsure of how much he knew about the other Realms. She didn't know how much to reveal to him. Therefore, she decided to keep some information to herself.
