Princess Lilly remember stirring awake feeling cold, when she sat up one of the maids gasped.
"Princess, stay lying down please don't get up." She heard on of the maids say softly. Lilly's eyes were barley open and it was hard for her to speak. She remembered being told to drink something and as soon as it touched her lips, her body went limp. The maid supported Lilly's head and slowly lowered her back down, covering her back up, giving the other maid a nervous look. They both turned to the right of them seeing Prince Zeal passed out in the chair with his leg arched on the Princess's bed. Thankfully he didn't wake up or seem to hear anything...At least they could hope. It would have spelled disaster had he been awake and saw the ordeal. Neither of the maids knew when the damn Prince showed up and, planted himself in a chair so close to the Princess. However they weren't fond of the scene and made sure to have a messenger inform the King and Queen.
They were still waiting on word or for someone to come and remove the imposter from the Princess' chambers. They had been waiting for an hour now. What was taking the King and Queen so long?! The maids sat by the fire place, listening to the crackling of the fire. Keeping a close eye on the sleeping Princess and Prince. Occasionally sneaking ice packs under the princess to keep her cold, the doctor stood near by with the nurse talking quietly amongst themselves. The room was dimly lit and seemed so depressing, time came to a crawl in that room all while time rushed on outside the door. It was so quite...so horribly quite, the maids kept pacing back and forth, unable to figure out what to do, they cleaned the massive room, they cleaned the sitting room outside of Princess Lilly's bedroom, They cleaned the two coat closets in said sitting room. The maids cleaned the Princess' 5 walk in closets, plus her large bathroom and her towel closet inside the bathroom.
They were getting anxious, they already changed the Princess' bedding, they ran out of things to clean, all that was left was to keep the fire going, keep changing out the ice packs under the Princess and keep an eye on Prince Zeal. They hated to admit it however they were bored. Maid 2: "What do we do? play chess? Die of boredom?" One of the maids asked Maid 2: "I don't know, my boredom is becoming a serious medical condition." the other maid replied. Seconds later the door to the Princess' room bust opened, One of the maids quickly got to her feet and opened the bedroom door in the neck of time. The King and Queen came walking in quick on their heels, looking quite irritated."Prince Zeal!" The King yelled at the top of his lungs.
The Prince jolted awake, looking around the dimly lit room for a brief moment, then his eyes landed on Princess Lilly, she looks sickly pale, almost an ashy grey, she hasn't looked to move a single inch since he arrived a day and a half ago. Nor has she stirred from the echoing screams her father let out. "Can I help you?" Prince Zeal responded while turning his head towards the very pissed off King and Queen. "You don't just get to come into our daughter's room!" The Queen screamed at the top of her lungs."I did it because no one seemed to be expecting me too, It would have been very difficult to play a trick on me..with me in the room for the last 8 hours." Prince Zeal said The King and Queen froze as their hearts dropped. " It appears that neither of you were lying, and I have important things to do, so I'll be on my way in about an hour, this depressing room and lack of light has dread written all over it. I want no part of it.... However, IF she does awake and unwed I'll be taking her as my bride...So long as the goods aren't ruined of course. I'm going to be King after all and I don't need some ugly torn up Betty on my arm." The Prince finished The King and Queen both felt hot and cold emotions running through them, from their head to their feet they had a storm brewing inside them.
Sure they were relieved that he was going to be leaving, bonus he was leaving sooner then expected. However how dare he be so ill mannered and speak about women this way? Before the King and Queen could respond Prince Zeal walked out of the room without another word. The door closed and King Nathaniel sighed in relief "That means we only need to focus on our daughter now." he said worn out from the situation. "Wonderful once he leaves then maybe the life might return to Maybelle once more and the rain will stop." The Queen replied coldly. "Let's go to lunch my dear. guard makes sure no one enters this room." The King spoke before leaving. Once out of the room Lilly began to hear the crackling of the fire again, she can also hear the rain she hasn't heard any other sound other then "Drink this and rest Princess." from the maids in quite sometime. She wondered if this meant she could wake up and come back to the light again. She was tired of feeling cold and being surrounded by the dark.
Princess Lilly kept fading in and out, listening to the distorted sounds around her, unable to make out much other then the rain and the fire. Soon she began to hear voices yet they sounded under water. She couldn't make out much of what was going on. She heard some screams, strange pleas, what sounded like someone being violently pushed up against a wall and possibly stabbed, things being broke and thrown a cross the room. Then a sudden flash of pain radiating from her forehead and face. Lilly felt something warm dripping down her face, still unable to move or speak, she was stuck in place lying in her bed. She faded back into the darkness once again.....Until "STOP HIM! DON'T LET HIM HARM THE PRINCESS ANY FURTHER!!" Lilly heard out of the blue, suddenly Lilly was able to listen a little more clearly...She was injured? Who was trying to take her? What on earth was going on?! "Why does my head hurt and what is all the madness" The Princess thought to herself. "The doctor is fine but the nurse is dead and so are the maids!" Lilly's heart dropped after hearing those words. "What? Who would do such an awful thing?" Lilly continued to think to herself.
She was still frozen in her bed, unable to move, speak or even open her eyes. Lilly was a prisoner in her own body, she was scared, helpless and currently a very easy target. "He's going after the Princess!" Another voice yelled Lilly was panicking inside, she couldn't get herself to wake up no matter how hard she tried. After what seemed like forever of more screams, more things being broken, more sounds of people being impaled... Everything fell silent..Lilly was falling back into her deep sleep, the last thing she felt before being taken by the awaiting darkness was her limp body being picked up into someone's arms. Lilly started feeling like she was on a boat, she could hear waves crashing, seagulls yelling and what sounded like people barking orders to one another. Still unable to wake up all she could do was listen to her surroundings. Lilly wasn't sure if she was dreaming but her fear was soon realized with one sentence.
" We will be back home soon, we are ahead of schedule and so long as the waves favor our journey then we should be back by 3 moons time." an unknown voice spoke leaving chills down Lilly's spine. Fear began to take over and coat her entire body. "Where am I? What happened to my family?" the princess wondered in fear. She began to pray that somebody was out looking for her to bring her back home. She wanted to be by her family she wanted to be safe and back home. She wanted the chance to be in Prince Brandon's arms. Not on water surrounded by unknown people. Uncertainty was surrounding her like during the white out in the beginning to middle of Autumn when fog engulfs the Kingdom of Maybelle.
Lilly tried to listen more to get more answers, like how long has she been out? How far have they gotten into open waters? Since this entire ordeal began there have been more questions than answers. Did the plan fall through? Does Zeal currently have her in his custody? What possibly could have caused this? All she knew for sure was she was no longer in the safety of her Kingdom, people were hurt in the process, she's on some unknown boat going to an unknown place. She's surrounded by several unknown men. The entire situation was dangerous and right now she had no clue who her enemy was or how to get back home!
She could smell salt water to the point of tasting it, Lilly could feel the boat rocking much violently than before. Lilly heard thunder crackling and was able to see the lightning flashing from behind her eyelids. She could feel the static in the air with every crack of lightning, and she swore her hairs on her arms were standing straight up when the thunder roared all around her. Loud yelling was echoing outside, and she heard one final sentence before the boat began to take in water..."Brace yourselves men!! This storm will not defeat us!! We will sail on until we reach the end of our journey!" The unknown guy yelled. "Captain!! We're taking on water!!" Another unknown voice exclaimed in fear.
Lilly fell back into a deep sleep after hearing those words. After some unknown amount of time passed Lilly was still unable to move, speak or open her eyes. However she could still hear, She still smelled the salt water and could still hear the storm brewing outside. She heard some exhausted voices but not enough to make out what they said. She heard a few words before passing back out once more. "The boat took damage." The heavy darkness quickly swallowed Lilly up, dragging her back into another slumber, threatening to continue to hold her hostage inside her own body. She just wanted to wake up and be home already. She wanted to know how the others were doing and if they survived. She wanted to know that the people hurt were able to make it and, that the nurse survived her injuries and, would make a full recovery with no problems. More importantly she just wanted to be back with her family in her Kingdom.
What happened to the plan? Where was she? How far away from home was she? More importantly...How bad was the damage to the boat? Were they going to sink?
"Wake up!" Lilly heard a frightening commanding voice as she was being shaked. She could feel sharp pain in her arms as her arms were being squeezed to no end. She wasn't sure who was trying to wake her up, Lilly wasn't even sure that she wanted to wake up, Lilly didn't want to wake up and see a different surroundings other than her room. Even though she grew tired of her bedroom walls, maids and guards. After being kept cooped up behind them for weeks before Zeal showed up, she would love to open her eyes and see that everything was the way it was before. Lilly felt a sharp slap on her face telling her "Damn it wake the fuck up!" before she was just dropped on an uncomfortable hard bed. She didn't recognize the voice but he seemed pretty mean. Lilly tried to stir herself awake to see her slapped her with no luck. Sleep still had her hostage. "Damn it she really is out! Whatever they gave her must be strong!" the same unrecognizable voice snapped in frustration.
"What would you like us to do sir?" an older more softer male voice spoke. "Just pick her up and put her in the emergency boat, make sure she has a life jacket. I need her alive." The voice responsible for hitting her replied. "Yes sir, right away." The softer older voice said. What seemed like an eternity later, she felt her body being lifted up and a vest being placed on her. " My apologies Princess, I don't mean to be bold but this will hopefully decrease your chances of drowning." The soft older voice spoke. He was very careful with her, unlike the other more angry jerk. he gently picked her up and she could feel herself being carried. A very short walk later a door swung open, she could feel the wind, rain and water all around her. She immediately felt herself completely soaked and freezing cold. Saltwater went up her nose, on her eyelids, all over her face and in her mouth making it very uncomfortable and hard to breathe. She even felt the salt water get in to her head injury, her lip injury and, her nose injury. She could remember the sharp stinging pain, to an unbearable amount that she wanted to scream out. Her body wasn't letting her and kept her in a semi sleep state.
She was having issues breathing between the water going up her nose threatening to drown her and, the wind taking the breath out of her. She felt her hair blow wildly all over the place even on her face. Lilly felt the guy continue to carry her to something she wasn't sure. Moments later she felt him hand her to someone over the boat..Her heart was racing, the person felt like another guy, and he was not gentle by far. She felt his finger tips pressing sharply against her skin, holding her tightly close to him. Being in his arms just caused pain. Lilly began to feel dizzy and nauseated. So when her body forced her to sleep again she welcomed it.
Lilly began to hear voices after a while and neither of them sounded happy. She felt the little boat get lifted up and dropped onto what sounded like wood. "Sir everyone alright?" Yet another voice spoke this time a very cold stern female spoke. "We are fine! Just get me some damn change of clothes and do something with this fucking sleeping moron!!" The guy snapped, Lilly was able to recognize the voice he was the one that slapped her and held her so forcefully. She quickly came up with a nickname for him. Sir Captain Jackass. She didn't know who he was but, she knew she wasn't fond of him. Once again she felt her body get lifted into the air. She got taken to another unknown place and left on a very cold and very hard bed that felt like a flat board. Lilly welcomed her sleep once again hoping that next time she wakes up this nightmare will cease to exist.
