Chapter 6 - Princess Lilly wrapped in thorns

When Princess Lilly woke up she was dazed and confused, she laid there trying to collect pieces of her memory. Lilly began to look around the dark gloomy room trying to get her mind off of her aching hips and back, she was hoping to get an idea of where she was until she heard the door open. Lilly quickly closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep. Her breathing hitched when she heard a familiar voice. "She's still asleep...., when we get back to my Kingdom I want the Royal doctor to tend to her." "Yes your Highness" said an unknown voice. She heard footsteps leave and the door shut but had a feeling that there was a presence lingering. She of course was correct. Shuffling noises and banging were echoing through the room, as furniture, vases and glass were being thrown at the walls. She heard foul language and whispering then it all fell silent. Lilly began to hear footsteps that drew closer and closer to her until she felt someone bend down and kiss her lips. "You will be mine for the rest of our days, you will never run or hide from me, I own you now." Spoke a very familiar and very frightening voice.

Lilly felt a flash of panic chill her to her very bones, she felt herself spinning uncontrollably trying to keep her breathing under control. Trying to make it seem like she was still asleep. She wanted so badly for this all to be a nightmare, she wanted to wake up, Lilly really wanted to be back home. She selfishly wanted Prince Brandon to be the one that kidnapped her and stole her away. Princess Lilly was stuck with the harsh reality that the murderous Prince now has her captive, miles and miles away from her kingdom and her family she was stuck on a ship sailing to an unknown land. Right now all she can do is think about how the firm bed made her back and hips ache. What she hated the most was how bad her head hurt. Just as the Prince was pulling away a violent wave thrash the boat all around, everything went up in the air. The poor Princess was being thrown every part of the room she was being hit, stabbed and tossed around like yesterday's salad.

Right now she was really wishing she was actually asleep because if she thought she was in pain before, nothing compared to what she was filling now. The agony left her breathless and unable to move. She did her best not to cry out but tears were escaping her eyes. Lilly kept her eyes closed fearful of what she might see, until finally everything fell silent water dripping throughout the ship and Lilly's cold aching body laid still. She began to fall into a half sleep when she felt rough hands handle her not so gently and pick her up only to drop her on a table. "Keep her out of the water! get another ship here ASAP!" The Prince commanded. "Beg your pardon your highness however... they won't get here in time, the only thing we can do is make whatever repairs we can, with whatever we got to keep this ship from sinking or use the lifeboats and dare try and float away that way. But with the storm as strong and violent as it is I wouldn't recommend it." Replied an unknown frightened man. "FINE! GET IT DONE!!" Yelled the impatient Prince. "Right away" replied the same nervous man.

Lilly fell unconscious from the cold and from her head trauma before she could wrap her head around the distruction that occurred. When Lilly did finally wake up she found herself in a new room, on a harder bed then the last one, she was still on a boat but it looked different. Lilly slowly sat herself up and looked around the room trying to find clues or something to arm herself with. But the room only offered her a bed and an empty desk nothing more other then a small bathroom with only a toilet, small plastic sink and a very small standing shower. Lilly thought that the set up was kinda cute and rustic. Lilly walked around her room but was cautious about not making any noise and running to her bed to pretend she was asleep if she heard footsteps near her door. The princess was hoping that her little plan would keep her safe. Not really knowing what to do Lilly made sure to continue to make herself look sick with whatever was available to her. The ash from the fire pit in her room she used and she sometimes used whatever powders and ice cubes she could get ahold of under the radar.

She kept this process going for a week and half, making herself appear sick, getting up walking when she could and pretending she was sleeping. Not much of a plan but she didn't know what else to do. Her body was super shaky and weak from not eating, she has almost drowned a couple times from people forcing water down her throat and a few times she has tried to restrain herself from coughing uncontrollably. It hasn't always worked at one point she coughed so bad she spit water at a lady and got the shit smacked out of her. She couldn't help it however the lady was being so forceful that water even went down her nose. She was left wet, cold and gasping for air until she calmed down. Little was careful when. going to the bathroom because flushing was tricky. If she was caught flushing at the wrong time they would know she was awake, thankfully the sea wasn't kind to their journey and gifted them such violent storms. So the noise and motion around hid the sound of a lonely toilet flushing.

The Princess wasn't sure how much longer she could keep this up, she was hungry, she was sore and she was incredibly homesick. Lilly felt like she was running out of time and she tried to come up with a plan for so long but all she got was dead ends. She wasn't a good swimmer and she was terrified of water. She was stuck in a no win situation and hadn't ate in weeks. Lilly felt like she was losing her mind. The Princess laid down and covered herself up with a paper thin faded brown blanket they gave her to "keep her warm". Lilly didn't really understand why they gave it to her because the blanket was so thin that it didn't do anything. As she laid down closing her eyes and began to drift away, her door swung open causing her heart to practically leap out of her chest. She quickly began to steady her breathing and calmed her frantic heart beat. Her body couldn't help but to keep stiff as she listened to her surroundings.

"How long is this damn woman gonna sleep for?! Why did you choose her to be your Queen?! I am your first general! Aren't I qualified?!" said a very angry yet familiar female voice. "I need a bride of royal blood to assume the throne" said the Prince. "Then give me a royal title!" snapped the woman "I mean look at her!! She has death knocking at her door! She hasn't woken up once!!" The angry woman continued. "Why do you want this weak piece of shi-" The woman was caught off as she was punched. The unknown woman could be heard falling backwards and crying out in pain. The Princess heard walking and what sounded like someone was trying to crawl away until everything stopped for a brief moment until Lilly heard what sounded like the woman was being choked. "Now listen here woman! I don't tolerate disobedience! I don't have to explain myself to you or anyone else! Know your place and don't ever forget it again!! I need a bride of royal blood!! A royal bride that was BORN ROYAL!!" the Prince boomed

"Don't ever question me again!" The Prince roared, Princess Lilly then heard footsteps suddenly run past her, the door swung open and slammed shut. Everything fell silent and footsteps began to ring through the room and fell silent again. Lilly then felt a hot breath on her sending chills throughout her body, "Sometimes I wonder if you're awake, If you are you're one hell of an actress. However considering I seen your file and everything you were taught, acting wasn't one of them...If I find out you're awake and you have been lying this whole time... I'll slaughter your entire kingdom set flames to it and have you watch as it burns all to ash! I'll force you to bare as many heirs as possible until either you can't or you die!" Said a very cold blooded Prince. Lilly did her best to keep her breathing steady until she heard the Prince walk out the room slamming the door on his way out. Princess Lilly couldn't think straight and now she was even more terrified.

Her body was shaking uncontrollable as fear rampaged through her body. Tears began to pour down her face she quickly sat up trying to calm herself as she sobbed as hard and quietly as possible. She cried until she couldn't anymore, Lilly got up and looked in the mirror, she was unrecognizable, she didn't know who she was or who was looking back at her anymore. Her eyes were red, puffy and tired, her skin pale dirty and full of ash and powder. Her skin cold, bloody, battered and bruised. She got herself fixed up and walked back to the bed and surrendered to sleep once more. Lilly wasn't sure what to do anymore, she was scared and the plans she was coming up with all were flawed. She didn't know the direction to get home, she wasn't strong enough or sneaky enough to just jack a life boat on her own, plus the storms are so bad she would be gambling with her life if she jacked one and tried to sail away. She was scared staying and she knew she couldn't hide anywhere. Lilly was about to give up hope, she felt completely defeated and unsure of everything.

All Lilly knew for sure was she needed to keep her people and her family safe at all costs, there were no exceptions or room for error, Lilly needed to keep the charade up just for a little while longer then "miraculously wake up once she was in the doctor's presence" Lilly thought deeply to herself. She was going to be damned if anything happened to her people, Lilly was determined to do what needed to be done.

Lilly was standing by her small bedroom window when she saw a very tall and very frightening wave tower over the enormous ship, the wave plowed through the ship like it was nothing more then a shoe being kicked out of the way! Everything and Everyone got thrown and tossed around until people got carried out by the water. By the time Lilly opened her eyes she was on the waters surface floating on debris from the ship clinging for life as she was being smacked all around for hours, soon the waves began to die down and Lilly passed out. She would occasionally wake to a strong wave crashing into her or pushing her around. Lilly kept getting caught in storm after storm thinking she wasn't going to survive. Lilly was getting water logged and eventually she blacked out. Stranded in the middle of the sea floating away to wherever as Lilly continues to cling for her life. Princess Lilly began to dream that she was lying on a bed of thorns, the thorns would dig into her skin so sharp and determined to rip her apart but she couldn't scream, she was so cold and numb and breathing was difficult. She felt thousands of needles stab her body all around.

Anytime she tried to cry out and beg for help no one could hear her no sound would escape her desperate body. Until finally everything went black. She could hear the waves clashing, she could feel the lightning all around as the static filled the air and the rain was so loud. Thunder crackled through the air demanding to be heard and respected. The air was freezing, the water was colder and the sky was just as dark as what looked like her watery grave.
