[Palace of The Supreme Ruler]

"When do you thinks she'll arrive?"

"Be patient, Illness."

I walked inside the grand palace as whispers of gods and goddesses erupted around me. It was a beautiful, white, marble with accents of gold all around the walls. At the end of the hallway stood the ~Throne of Glory~ the chair in which the Lord sat.

"I am sure you are here for your mission, XXXX."

"Yes, my Lord."

"You are to travel to different planets and universes and see all the different versions that are in store. This job is difficult but it is a job I only trust you to do. You shall define the righteous from the evil. When you have finished all of that, we will discuss your reward."

Everyone gasped, including me. What was he saying?! He never gave anyone a reward for doing his bidding.

The gods and goddesses looked at me with resentment. Oh gosh, why the heck did he have to do this to me!?

Planet of Mischief

Year 1081

Day 1

I stared at the bustling planet underneath me from the sky above. Why did I have to do this planet!?

It was the planet made by the God of Mischief, and of course he named it after himself.

I fell towards the grass as my consciousness faded, hopefully these people weren't going to set me in a pile of goat excrement* like the Planet of Tricksters. Well, they may be mischievous but they could still have decency.

*A different way of saying poop.

I awoke in a strange white room, maybe it was a lab, or a hospital room. That didn't matter, I needed to find my way out.

There was a door at the other side of the room that burst open immediately as I got up.

"Ah, you're awake, Angel." A man in a black coat said with an all too mischievous grin.

"Only my acquaintances are allowed to call me that." I retorted with a frown. I knew this type of person. I had met many people like him on other planets and realities. If it was any other person they would have thought he was just smiling, but I'm not any other person. I knew he was up to something.

He chuckled, "Ah well, just what I expected of an holy being. Tell me, what should I call you? And, of course, who are you."

"Just a passing angel. You can call me, The Lone Angel, or TLA."

He smiled yet again, but I could see right through it. He was surprised, I was meant to just be a myth from the gods, a mere legend that doesn't exist. They don't even trust the god the created their planet because he is scheming, he may have done it to make them serve a fake idol.

"Well, TLA, you may be wondering why you're here." He paused, I stared at him, inquiringly, "You were on the cold stone of our road, the citizens were worried about you." Bullsh*t, I wasn't falling for a word of it. I had been to too many planets that had bad intentions, I had learned to spot these people from the good.

"We couldn't just leave you on the road, so I took you into the recovery room of our castle and have been waiting for you to wake up."

"I suppose you want compensation." I said. This time he actually couldn't hide his surprise.

"You're very straightforward."

I paused,

"It doesn't do well to waste the precious time that has been gifted to us by the heavens."

He smiled yet again, "Well you are right. We have heard of your 'myth' and say that when you find a righteous planet, you give a gift to the person the deserves it most. I want it. Give it to me."

I bit my lip. I couldn't give it to him, he definitely didn't seem like a righteous person, and I could only give out more than one item on special circumstances. I did owe him something, but I couldn't give him this.

"I'm sorry, I can't."

He grinned maliciously, "Fine, follow me then."

With that, I was lead out of the room.
