As we entered the bar, we were greeted with the same thing that I was greeted with the first time I went to this place, a bar fight. Whoever was losing was getting his ass handed to him and was thrown into me, which was the end of the fight. I grabbed the guy who was thrown into me and threw him outside into oncoming traffic, then grabbed the other guy and threw him across the bar. By the time I was done, Alex had already gotten a table and I followed her to it, in which she sat and smirked at me, I wasn't gonna hear the end of this.
"You really can't go one day without throwing someone into oncoming traffic, can you?"
"Oh shush, I don't take people being assholes to me, and neither should I or anyone in my family."
"Does that include me?"
"Shut up," I said, trying to ignore the blush creeping on my face, as the waitress swung by and asked us for our drinks, and then left while Alex gave her a death stare, "Do you death stare at everyone near me?"
"No. Just the ones who think they can touch what's mine," She said, smirking at me which just made my blush worse, she seemed to be enjoying my embarrassment though.
"Are you enjoying me blushing? Hmm?"
"Yeah, it's adorable to see you blush because it shows your innocence."
"I'm not innocent! I'm pure evil!"
"Keyword being pure, because you're adorably pure."
"No, I'm not! Shh!" I said as the waitress came back with my Big Red and Alex's cola, when the waitress asked if we needed more time I ordered a cheeseburger with onion, and told Alex that if she needed more time to order to go ahead, but I was hungry. She ordered a steak, rare with mashed potatoes, and the waitress left to go get our food ordered.
"I have a game I want to play with you, it would let us get to learn a bit more about each other."
"What is it?"
"Any 5 questions, but we can change the number to keep it going for longer."
"Okay, that sounds like fun, actually," I said, and finished my Big Red, before asking for another one, "You can go first."
"Favorite music genre or band?"
"You can't make me choose one when there are so many! How about top 3?"
"Fine, but you have to listen to at least 3 of their songs to list them."
"Disturbed, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day. Easy. Favorite video game?"
"Probably Skyrim or Apex Legends. I like multiplayer games up to and until I get salty, then I play single-player ones to cool off."
"I usually just punch things when I get mad because of video games, that and angry swearing usually helps," I said as the waitress brought me my drink, "Thank you."
"That only works for so long, you eventually run out of swears to use or things to punch, either way, it only lasts for so long."
"I mean, maybe your situation is different but I've never run out of things to punch, nor have I run out of swears."
"You're creative and make new swears, it doesn't count," She said, making me laugh because she wasn't wrong, I combine different swears into compound swears all the time.
"They so do count!"
"If only one person uses 'Bitchfuck' or 'Bitchass' they don't count."
"I'm not the only one who says them but okay, keep believing that, mate."
"Okay, what's your favorite food?" She asked as my burger was placed in front of me, and I was almost tempted to say hamburger, but it wasn't my favorite but a very close second.
"Guacamole and chips, easily the best combination is known to mankind, other than maybe metal music and video games."
"I'm a steak gal, nothing beats it."
"You're saying that cuz you're a wolf, and rare steak is the closest thing you can get to the real game. What's your favorite movie?" I asked, the night carried on like that, asking each other questions and then going off on tangents about random shit from video games to movies, hunting to cooking, and shopping to holidays. It was a relaxing night and while I was still blushing I was glad that I went, it was really fun. I packed my leftovers in a to-go box, knowing jack would want food, and we headed outside to get back in her truck. The entire ride home we were cracking jokes, telling stories, and laughing at the stupidity the other had to deal with either at home or in the past. It was really funny, up until we got home and I realized that I would have to explain to my family about tonight...fuck.
"Welcome back, Jakey!" I glared at Nicki as she leaned against the door with jack next to her, they wanted to hear about it and I was half tempted to run.
"Good luck, little one," Alex said before giving me a hug and heading back to her truck.
"NOT HELPFUL, ALEX!" I yelled back as she laughed, and I begrudgingly walked back inside, knowing I wasn't gonna sleep for a while.
