We met up with Miguel and Ashley, who had taken the truck, about two miles from the bank and started deciding how we would get everything done. Ashley had brought our bags to carry the cash out of, custom-tailored to not blow up in case it was shot at, and enough ammo for the big gun for us to get in, get out, and still have ammo to let Jack fire back at anyone tailing us. Derek was with Jade and Johnny with Nicki who was working with a friend of Miguel to get the EMP set up. Supposedly it had a small enough range for it to only affect the electronics inside the building, Jade and Derek had the same job that Miguel and Ashley had: Keep the cops and any reinforcements they bring in busy while Jack and myself got the cash, today was 'transfer day' which meant they were getting all the cash from this year ready to a more secure safe somewhere in the middle of nowhere, so it was today or never. We pulled up to El Oro and Jack followed me into the bank, while Ashley got in the gunner's seat and Miguel drove into a nearby alley, waiting for my signal.
"We do this clean and loud, I wanna give the city of San Antonio a show they won't soon forget," I said over the radio to Ash and Johnny, who relayed it to their respective teams, before changing the channel to the one that Derek and Jade shared, "Once the charges are placed, drive past the bank and throw the detonator inside, Jack will pick it up and hand it to me when we get the cash."
"Got it, how many do you want on the bridge?"
"Enough that if it was food even Amy Schumer would be full," I said and switched the radio station one last time to the one that Alex and Alejandra, her sister, were tuned to "You'll know when to start, your job is to create chaos, when we leave I don't want it repairable, but destroyed enough that no one will ever forget our names. Got it?"
"Yeah, see you after this is all over, Jakey."
"Don't. Call. Me. That," I said and turned off the radio, 'This should be easy, no cops to bug us, and everyone inside will either be too terrified to do anything or will be dead' I told Jack over the mind link, 'Let's just hope they don't call in the boy scouts, right?' he said, making me laugh, we had an inside joke from The Fate Of The Furious, that if anyone stopped us, it would be the boy scouts.
"de luminaribus" I heard over the radio as the lights shut off, Jack and I shifted and could see in the dark, the cameras were dead so it was time.
"IF YOU WANNA LIVE, STAY DOWN ON THE GROUND, DON'T FUCKIN' MOVE! " Jack yelled as I made my way towards the staircase that led to the vault, but I wanted to leave a quick message before I did so.
"Anyone that does gets a face full of lead, if you stay down and behave like good little hostages, you get a sammich," I said and headed down the stairs, and saw the security heading up the stairs towards me.
"Everything down, you two stay down here and shoot anyone that walks down these stairs, we'll go see what happened, don't shoot if you hear us say hey before walking down."
"That won't be necessary," I said and grabbed the guy in charge by the throat and threw him down the stairs, knocking another guy down and snapping his neck. I walked downstairs only to be met with gunfire, they were missing me by a long shot but it was fun to mess around with them, I walked around and was behind them when they stopped shooting.
"D-did we get him?"
"No, I don't think ya did," I said and smashed their skulls together, knocking them out cold, "Now, let's get that cash," I said and walked through the vault door, and kicked down the smaller gate to be met with pile after pile of cash. I opened our bags and started filling them with cash, only to hear the opening of gunfire above me, hastening my looting.
"JAKEY! YA MIGHT WANNA HURRY UP DOWN THERE!" Jack yelled from the stairwell as I grabbed the last wad of cash and made my way towards the door.
"I'm coming, I'm coming, jeez," I said and handed him his bag, which he took and pointed towards the cops trying to break down the door.
"Death Valley?"
"Death Valley," I said and we set our bags down and started putting thermite charges everywhere, Death Valley was one of the best defensive position plans we ever developed, inspired by the city in California, known for being the hottest city in all of the United States. When the cops finally busted down the door we were sitting in chairs as they moved in and pointed their rifles at us, I've always wanted to reenact my favorite movie scene, so I nudged Jack's foot and said 'Fast five Brazil scene?' 'Yes!' he said as the guy in charge approached us and I prayed he would say we were under arrest.
"Sir, you are under arrest for bank robbery, attempted homicide, homicide, assault, grand larceny, and destruction of government property."
"Arrest? I don't feel like I'm under arrest. How about you, Jack?"
"Nope, not a bit. Not even a little bit."
"Ah, very funny, quoting a fuckin' movie and thinkin' that'll get ya somewhere. Well, lemme tell you, it doesn't."
"Man, ya can't even stick to a script, now we gotta kill ya," I said and pressed the button on the charge, setting off the thermite behind all the cops, anyone that didn't die instantly burned to death or tried to put out the fire on their back, in the case of the guy in charge.
"C'mon, let's get outta here," Jack said and handed me the detonator for the charges on the bridge, he must've picked it up while he was holding the hostages. We got outside and Miguel's truck came speeding down the road and rammed into a guy in swat gear, sending him flying.
"Well, that's one way to kill a heavily armored unit."
"Get in, idiots!" Miguel yelled and Jack got in the gunner seat, I put the bags in the back and told them to go as I got ready for the final ending. With wolves clawing out cops' eyes, Jade and Derek shooting everything to shit, and Jack joining in the fun, San Antonio had turned to chaos.
"LET'S GET GOING, BOYS!" I yelled, getting everyone's attention, and they started towards the bridge that led to the road out of the city, that happened to have explosive charges on it 'I wonder who did that?' I said and started climbing to the top of a nearby building. When I got to the top I saw a chopper following after them, luckily Jack so it too, so the chopper wasn't in the air for too long.
'Let's hope this works' I thought as they reached the bridge.
"JAKE! YOU SEE US?!" Johnny yelled over the radio as he got on the bridge.
"Yep! It's time for a show boys!" I pressed the button on the detonator and the explosives set off after they got off the bridge, causing it to collapse and the cops behind them to fall into the river "YOU'RE IN THE CLEAR BOYS!" I yelled into the radio and jumped off the building, shifting halfway down and spreading my wings at the right angle to send me flying forward after them, tonight was gonna be a good night.
We caught back up at Jessie's bar, swapped the bags around, and changed our license plates, we had Miguel's friend make new ones so that we wouldn't have to kill more cops in the future, it would be aggravating if every two minutes we had to fight off another squadron of police.
"Hey, guys!" Jessie said as we entered the bar, I gave her a twenty and she knew not to let her other bartender bother us, she was always flirting with me, and with Alex around that might not end well.
"How're you doing tonight, Jess?" Jack asked and we started talking with her about her upcoming weekend 'getaway' where she intended to spend time with her mate.
"And totally not do anything not safe for work at all~ right, Jess?" I said through giggles, she was easy to fluster, but so was I so it was okay.
"Oh shut up, asshat. I heard the heist went well."
"Yep, I don't think San Antonio will ever forget about today, am I right, Jack?"
"If they do I will be personally offended," He said, he had caused major property damage with the big gun, even if he was only paying half attention to the conversation what he was saying was legitimate. What was he doing with the other half of his minuscule attention span? Checking out Alex, as always.
"Hey, Jack! Why're you perving at Alex?" Jess said as she handed me a beer, in all of my life nothing could've prepared me for that, but not even Satan himself could've prepared me for Jack's comeback. He looked Jess in the eyes, and without missing a beat, said: "Because Jakey is too shy to do it himself." That brought the beer out of my mouth and all over the bar itself.
"I was not expecting that, you ass."
"Jakey if you wanted to look at me all you had to do was ask," Alex said smirking, and I flipped her and Jack off in a 'sorry not sorry' sort of way. I ordered a burger to go and decided to go for a ride.
"Jack, see ya in our room, make sure to split up the cash on your way out of here," I said, handing Jess another twenty for my food plus a tip, and made my way towards my motorcycle that was waiting for me outside. 'One more stop...'
