17 long years had passed. Adam's timid nature changed to become more level-headed and determined. The reflection of his memories also granted him knowledge, that wasn't public on his Universe, such as programming (A Universal Level secret, taught only to noble galactic families).
'How much time is left?' Adam questioned the system for the umpteenth time.
[Host there is 24mins and 17secs remaining]
It was a dark rainy night, as Jeremiah Smith anxiously rode home on his second-hand bike. His belly growled in protest for a light snack, so Jeremiah headed towards the nearest shop.
He parked and locked his battered-up bike, in front of the convenience store. Strolling, he walked into the store in a calm and collected manner as he got the milk, and as he was about to reach out for the bread
Time went to a halt. Everyone stood in their place, they were as inanimate as mannequins. Jeremiah Smith waited for someone to come round the corner saying 'You got Prank'd', but that never happened. He knew this was all real, and not a dream, when he saw a pigeon frozen outside mid-flight.
A chill went up his spine as a middle-aged man in a classy blue suit approached him, as if he was a salesman, or the Devil. A wicked grin was plastered on his face, as he came up close to the unsuspecting Mr. Smith and said something that made Jeremiah believe he was hallucinating.
"I'll grant you a single wish.", smirked the 'Devil'.
'System, who is that?' Adam asked, wondering why this guy had an ability in an ability-less world'
[The Apostle of Chaos. They enjoy chaos and randomness]
Adam watched silently, as the creepy man impatiently tapped his golden Rolex watch that was still working, despite time not moving around him.
"I'll give you a minute, don't worry it will make your life more 'fun'" He declared, whilst his face became ecstatic.
Past-him was smart, he had a strong feeling that his words carried a sinister undertone, but he was still tempted by his offer. After all, he was only human.
He hesitated, but eventually Jeremiah wished for power.
Adam knew where this was going, the amount of novels Jeremiah read when he was younger proved its worth.
"I'll grant your wish. Don't worry you'll have a lot of power"
Suddenly, in response to his answer, the trio teleported into front of an open road. Jeremiah felt uneasy, he felt like he made a lousy mistake that would change the course of his life. And he was right.
"Have a nice life!" The man said sarcastically before he left.
Adam watched helplessly as a truck, labelled 'Reincarnation Express', propelled towards him at full speed.
[Ding! Host, the intermission of memories has ended, would you like to exit the projection]
Adam's sight went black.

Luskin National Hospital
The hospital was covered in an ominous morbid silence, as doctor and nurses rushed from one place to another. The scent of death lingered around the colourless walls.
Families and friends sat silently in the bleached-white waiting rooms, enduring the worry of not knowing their loved one's condition.
Doctor Sullivan approached the boy with snow-white hair and sharp red eyes. Fraser had been sitting in complete worry for four long hours. He clasped his fists tightly, blaming himself for not helping sooner.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Fraser hurriedly stood up, as soon as he heard the sound of leather shoes against the the smooth, white marble floor.
"Tom Fraser, your friend seems to be waking up, do you want to visit him?" Doctor Sullivan asked, with a hint of concern.
"I'm fine Doc." He replied, as cool calmness washed over his worried face. "And don't tell him that I paid, I don't want to make him feel like he owes me something."
Tom walked out of the hospital, as if a heavy burden had been removed from his small shoulders.
....
....
A grunt leaked out of Room 504, as Adam awoke from his short coma. His jet-black hair was matted against his porcelain face, whilst his once dead black eyes now carried a glint of wisdom.
Adam slipped out of the the hospital bed with renewed vigour. He didn't look like someone who had been in a coma for a day. For some reason, Adam noticed that his ability appeared to have strengthened. He felt more in tune with the world around him. It was like everything gained more colour.
His ability was Energy Manipulation. He could manipulate the energy in the air, which he used to make a room warmer or colder (by a small amount), and charging his phone.
Energy manipulation was a rare ability; as he seemed to be the only one with the ability. Stable testing deemed the ability as a ' A failure for an ability, that carried no use other than being a charger'.
Adam never really knew how his ability worked before, but after experiencing his past life's memories he somewhat understood. He had been manipulating thermal energy, as he probably sped up or slowed the movement of particles. He also determined that he was able to convert one type of energy to another.
'Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed.' His previous Middle School science teacher once told him, as he dozed of in the classroom.
'And they ranked this ability as F- Class!' he amusedly thought.
'System, can you show me my status'
Two templates sprung in front of Adam's face, the first one was blue and the other was a blood-red hue. The contents on the blue and red templates left him speechless.

Adam noted that the design of the Evolution section of the system was much more menacing than its counterpart, as the template seemed to be an amalgamation of flesh that moved.

It was a desolate dark night. The cold basement floor was stained with dried blood. The room emanated the foul rotten stench of a slaughter house.
In the centre of the barren room was a young adult girl, with blonde hair that was matted with blood. She lay there tied, onto a cold metal seat, wailing in pain. Tears of blood dripped from her empty eyes.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
She started shaking her seat to escape the torture that was about to come. The chair made a loud thud, yet the speed of the slow footsteps never changed, as she trembled covered in her own blood like a fish in the market.
The deafening heavy footsteps reminded the girl of the pain that was to come. She sat there groaning, as blood pooled out of her mouth.
Dante's sadistic smile was taut in pleasure. He wept in joy at his abstract piece of art. He walked right behind the mutilated girl, and fixed her chair.
"I'm sorry to to inform you, but our lovely time has come to an end. My father's coming home and I don't want him to find out about our relationship" He stated sadly, as he plunged a large iron hook in between her ribs.
"Urgh.. Fph.. Why..?" The victim of Dante's cruel torture spluttered in dismay.
{System Notification: User has earned 25 points. An extra 20 points has been added for causing victim to feel fear.}
Dante smirked, as he pondered about the question of the (now dead) woman.
'Slaughter System, how much points have I earned now'
A baleful dark aura stemmed from Dante's black status plate that hovered in front of him.
