At The Party
"You look good," Klaus says to Nathaniel as he raised his glass for a toast
"I could say the same for you" Nathaniel replies
Klaus, Nathaniel, and their colleagues talk about the business signing until whispers from the crowd stopped them, the clique of businessmen turned in the direction people were talking about and were just as amazed as them by the site they saw.
At the entrance of the hall were two beautiful and elegant women walking hand in hand toward them.
The women walked gracefully, under the stares of the crowd to the group of businessmen.
When the women finally reached where they were, the men rose from their seats to welcome them
"Welcome darling," Klaus says as he kissed the elder of the two and gave the younger one a peck
"I was wondering where Mrs. Tate was, you look gorgeous, and so do you miss..." one of the men said
... Just when Theresa was about to answer Sarah Tate cut in and said
"She's our goddaughter, Theresa"
"Okay, okay" the crowd chorused except Nathaniel
After the exchange of greetings, Sarah and Theresa left the clique to continue their talk and she also wanted to introduce Theresa to some of her friends
"Sarah?" Theresa called out
"Yes dear," She replies
"Why didn't you let me introduce myself?" Theresa asked
"I was gonna explain that after the party but since you asked here it goes, you know in the business world your brother and father represent you guys right?"
Theresa nods in understanding
"Well if you do introduce yourself and they figure out that you're a Clinton they would try to do anything to get on your good side in hopes of getting to either your brother or father. A handful of the young men here are their sons and you know you are not gonna have peace if they got the slightest idea. Nobody would want to miss out on this opportunity you know" Sarah says with a wink causing Theresa to giggle
"Yeah I get it, Aunt," Theresa said intentionally to tease Sarah.
"Theresa??" Sarah says with a warm glare provoking another giggle from Theresa
"Sorry, Sarah Brillantes" Theresa said and it provoked a bright smile on Sarah's face
After a while of chatting with Sarah and her friends, Theresa decided to take a break from them and get herself a drink.
When she spotted a waiter with whiskey, she decided to get it.
She calls out to the waiter and he takes the drink and is about to give her when a hand grabs the drink from him.
Swirling the glass, the man who took the drink says "Isn't this too strong for someone as soft as you" he comments with a smirk and takes a sip of the drink
"Well Mr, I'm not as fragile as you think," Theresa says irritated with the fact that he drank her whiskey.
"Hey, drop the formalities please, My name is James Hunter, you can call me James and from the looks of it I'm older than you, so think of me as an elder brother, this kind of alcohol is not good for that pretty face, Miss..." James said taking Theresa's hand in his to place a kiss on her knuckles. But Theresa quickly pulls away, ignoring his question
"Well Mr. James it was nice, meeting you but you'll have to excuse me," Theresa said trying to get away from him
"What did I say about the formalities," James said annoyed
"Well you are older than me as you said, I can't drop the formalities for that very fact, I was taught to respect my elders," Theresa said with a ghost of a smirk, moving away from him.
And so did the man who had been watching them, after hearing Theresa's reply and seeing the smirk on her face
"Who are your parents anyway? Do you even know who I am" James retorted annoyed by Theresa's reply?
"That's not important," Theresa said in annoyance
"So you know your parents are not even important," he said blocking her way
"No, I meant who you are is not important"
"What.., how... Okay because of this pretty face of yours I'm going to forgive you, so let's talk business" James continued
Theresa not giving him the time of day starts to walk away, but James cuts in front of her to continue talking
"You don't look familiar so I guess you're not from the social class here and I don't know which rich hunk got you in but I'm ready to pay double, so how much for a night"
*What a filthy man, pervert!!!* Theresa screams inwardly, she didn't want to start a fight with him and ruin her Godparents party.
"Excuse me?" she said bewildered by his words
"Hey don't be shy I know your type," James said oblivious to the death stare given to him by Theresa, and he tries to hold her hand but before he could do that another hand, held Theresa's hand and comes in-between them...
*At Jessica's birthday party*
"Jess!!!" Sarah calls out to her friend with a glowing face
"Sarah!!" Jessica calls back with the same excitement and they engulf each other in a tight hug
"I missed you" both girls chorused
And when they let go Jessica put her hand forward like she was waiting to receive something
"My gift," Jessica said
"Nah, so bad, you didn't even ask me how my journey was or how I'm feeling," Sarah said with a fake sad expression
"Well you're here in one piece, right, and don't even start with me, you were supposed to be here a week ago to help me plan but you bailed out on me," Jessica said in a defensive tone.
"My parents didn't let me" Sarah retorted
"That's cause you forgot to tell them, aunt and uncle will not stop you from coming to see me," Jessica said
"Ok, ok you win I'm sorry, here," Sarah said giving her, her gift
"Apology almost accepted," Jessica said
"Please!!!" Sarah pleaded with her puppy dog eyes while giving Jessica a playful hug
"Ok, " Jessica said in an "I give up tone"
"Happy birthday Jessica" a guy wished Jessica
"Thanks, Nick" Jessica replies
"Who was that, you have a lot of cute guys here girl and you haven't introduced me to them, that's not fair," Sarah said
Jessica took Sarah and began to introduce her to her friends there, they were having a good time chatting until
"Look who we have here" came a girl's voice.
Finding the voice familiar Sarah turned to take a look and she regretted it the very moment, it was *Emma, whatever her last name was*.
"You again, no wonder I felt annoyed just by your voice," Sarah said quietly but loud enough for Emma to hear
"Oh Emma, welcome, I thought you said you weren't going to make it," Jessica said
"Well I didn't want to stand you up and now I'm glad I came" Emma answered with a sneaky smile at Sarah which she returned
"Won't you introduce me to your friend?" Emma said
"Oh, pardon me, Emma Carmen, meet Sarah, Sarah Rani" Jessica said
"Sarah Rani, nice dress, must have cost a lot," Emma said with a look of disgust that went unnoticed by many except Jessica, her friends, and Sarah
"Thanks, it's*VERY EXPENSIVE*" Sarah replied with a broad smile, emphasizing the last two words.
