Chapter 19 - Thoughts Before Moving Forward

Hearing his words, her complexion instantly turned grim, she almost spat out a mouthful of blood due to the share overly unbelievable shamelessness Kanzen displayed.

She was caught off guard by this personality of Kanzen that she almost lost control over her essence and mana that maintained her floating around.

She couldn't fathom how can the person in front of her quickly change from being an overly cautious indifferent man that even ignored her beauty into that of a tick face shameless man.

She was dumbfounded beyond belief, the shocked displayed on her face is a hundred times more compare to when the person revealed he cleared the trial.

'I really don't know a thing or two about this person, it seems that understanding this man is far harder than fighting someone of a higher tier level.'

Aisha let out a deep sigh and with a complicated funny look on her face, she looked back at Kanzen continuously praising himself with his nose so high that it almost pierced the sky.

"Wait, I have something meaning to asked."

Kanzen snap out from his utterly shameless stupor and asked.

"What is it?"

"Does the mana corrupted zombies in the latter stages gains ego or something akin to consciousness?"

"Yo-you, you really are something else, aren't you."

"He-he, so it's really something like that huh…!"

Kanzen smiled, already having the answer he treated as the most crucial one of all basing this assumption of his to Aisha's response.

'Should I move now? The distance between here and General City where my family are at is 80 kilometers apart.'

'That distance isn't too far in the past, but now that the world had turned upside down, that distance is now akin to passing a single state to another based on the time needed to spend traveling.'

'And who knows what dangers await ahead of that path.'

Finishing his thoughts Kanzen's face turned a bit solemn.

He might be a bit prideful due to his high self-centered narcissistic nature, but this personality of his didn't hinder him from thinking twice before deciding anything.

He is someone who looks at the big picture and a far ahead thought in the future before doing any rush actions.

He sure is worried about his family, but this worry of his isn't enough to turned him mad to run straight to where they were.

His family might be very important for him, but the same can also be said to his family's perspective.

He couldn't just go to a journey to reunite with them only to die on the way due to carelessness, how can he reunite with them if he dies, isn't that illogical.

He sure possessed great power, knowledge, experience, and even some benefits from the Prime Limitless Order, but this factors isn't enough to make him think and behave like an idiot thinking his the protagonist of the story.

Currently, while Kanzen is confident that he could withstand and survive against numerous bullet holes in his body, he knew he could still die.

Furthermore, a single bite from the mana corrupted zombies is sure enough to turned him into one of those ugly monsters.

He prefers to think in the most logical and beneficial manner mostly ignoring emotional aspects.

Moreover, Kanzen is confident that this change in the world isn't something hard to overcome for his family.

From his father who's a high government official he didn't know being the old man is much too secretive, that has a pretty high power in the military, police, and other arms sectors of the nation.

To his mother that possessed a somewhat equivalent power but mostly in the dark side of the society or people preference to as the underworld.

Or to his sister that been trained just like him since young in martial hand-to-hand combat, weapon arts, survival in the wilderness and analytical studies.

Putting this factors in the limelight Kanzen could confidently assume that they are doing better.

Surely, the government and underworld wouldn't fall easily, and if those two falls that could possibly only happen in a later date when things go beyond chaotic to the point that Earth's proud firearms and other weapons lost their value.

The only thing that might bring harm to them in this new world is uncertain factors mostly information, that might result in unexpected things.

Unfortunately, he could do nothing but await the day they'll reunite.

He didn't bother to asked Aisha about this but Kanzen instinctively knew corrupted mana zombies isn't the only danger that exists in this now apocalyptic world.

He has a gut feeling, this gut feeling that he trusted the most than the skills he possessed is alerting him high to be extremely cautious before deciding things.

On the side floating freely playing with her finger nails, Aisha observed Kanzen's change of expressions.

'What's with this guy, does he have a problem in the head? How can a person quickly change personalities freely, like that of someone changing hairstyles?'

*****

There were no more mana corrupted zombies around, Kanzen allowed himself to take rest for a few minutes to think through on what better action he should take before proceeding.

He wasn't physically or mentally exhausted his constitution is far above that of his current rank but having a bit of rest isn't too bad to begin with.

"I should practice this baby before continuing."

Kanzen said opening his status info, reading through the descriptions of his newly acquired skill.
