Chapter 29 - Hannah's confession

"Take me to the lycan pup." Lucian said to Roman as they walked out of the throne room.

"Yes it's this way alpha." the beta replied as he motioned for Lucian to follow him, he led Lucian towards the east wing of the castle and down the horrific looking dungeons of the castle, they met Hannah coiled up and shivering intensely from cold in the prison.

The small dungeon was made of rocks and from its rocky ceilings droplets of water could be seen dropping rapidly on the prisoner making the prison's ground even more cold from being wet.

The droplets of water was impossible to evade by the prisoner due to the fact that the prison was extremely small and narrow making it impossible to lie down to rest, instead the prisoner would have to sit in his cell with his knees clutched tightly to his chest in other to rest as the droplets of water continued raining down on the prisoner, in short it was a horrible torturous ugly looking prison, this however was the least most horrific dungeon in Lucian's castle showing just how much brutal lucian could be when angered, seeing the two imposing figures Hannah immediately stood up shivering uncontrollably with a teary eye.

"Alpha lucian please I did what I did to save my pack, Levi threatened he would slaughter them all if I refused to do what he says." she spoke to lucian while sobbing uncontrollably

"Tell me everything." lucian ordered Hannah in a deep authoritative tone.

"Three years ago my family were adopted by Levi, he threatened to kill them if I refused to do as he said, he told me he needed me to spy on a girl called alicia." lucian eyes immediately widened in shock.

If what the lycan pup said was indeed true, no it had to be true she possibly wouldn't lie to an alpha, then this would mean Levi had known of the girl for about three years now, then why did he wait until recently to adopt the girl.

Hannah's parents disappearance was of no surprise to lucian he had heard about it three years ago and thought like most other lycans that were probably killed or turned into slaves by either vampires or demons, however it seemed he was wrong, it was all levi's doing, then why did Fiona deny knowing about alicia until recently he thought to himself, perhaps she was indeed telling the truth and Levi had intentionally kept Alicia identity until recently, what exactly was levi's plan he thought inwardly.

"Did Levi ever tell you why he wanted you to watch the girl? And did you also know about the lightbringer." it was his beta Roman who asked this time in a calm manner as lucian stared intently at the young lycan.

"No he never told me why he needed me to watch the girl,i still don't know till this day, as for the lightbringer yes I was told three years ago by Levi that one of her friends Kyle was a lightbringer." she said meekly not meeting the fiery gaze of the Alpha who was now stunned beyond words after hearing what Hannah had just said

"Levi knew about the lightbringer three years ago? How could he tell?." He asked with a shocked expression, he was not the only one surprised as his beta Roman was also beyond words shocked at this revelation.

"I don't know how he knew Alpha, but he promised me I would be safe as long as I play my part perfectly." she replied the visibly shocked alpha

"And what part is that?." Lucian asked with an eye brow raised

"Alicia has always loved the supernatural aspect of history, she has always been fond of carrying out research on supernatural beings that has appeared through out history most especially you Alpha lucian, she's strangely very curious about lycan history."

Lucian smiled slightly knowing Alicia was curious about him even before they met, he couldn't explain it but he felt a bond and connection the first time he saw her at the inn at tarsus, he was relieved to know he wasn't the only one who felt the strange attraction towards her.

"Levi wanted me to influence Alicia's thoughts by giving her the idea of a founder, a being that brought about the creation of evil and she didn't need much convincing cause she bought the idea almost immediately, Levi wanted Alicia to be able to come willingly to tarsus where the lightbringers would be at their weakest cause at the time he wasn't sure how many lightbringers were protecting alicia, I thought he was originally going to take alicia as soon as we boarded the plane since he was sure by then that Kyle was the only lightbringer with her, It would have been easier instead of having to wait to get to tarsus the home of the demons before adopting her."

This explanation indeed made lots of sense to lucian, it was indeed a smart move to make Alicia go to tarsus willingly without arousing suspicions of the lightbringers if they were to be more than one.

However it still didn't make sense to lucian as to why Levi would hide it from Fiona, he could tell Fiona was telling the truth when she said she had just recently come to know of the girl's existence as a child of prophecy.

He understood that Levi refused to take alicia while she was on the plane because he needed to check if alicia's blood could actually kill him an immortal, he gritted his teeth at how Levi seemed to be playing every side including his own as he sees fit.

"Why did Levi keep it from Fiona?."he asked Hannah

"So Fiona was the one?." She asked with widened eyes

"You did not know of her involvement with Levi?." Roman asked through squinted eyes checking to see if she was telling the truth.

"No beta Roman , I was told on the plane by Levi and Delilah that one of them was on the plane with us but I did not know who it was."

"Did you think Fiona knew of your involvement with Levi?." Lucian asked the young lycan

"No Alpha, I think Fiona actually met Alicia through sheer coincidence, she didn't know of what she was until few months ago. That was when I started noticing a change in behaviour in Fiona but I didn't take it seriously, please you have to believe me Alpha lucian this is all I know, I was only a pawn in levi's game." she said through gritted teeth holding back sobs.
