"You are right, and I have an antidote for your family which can help to reduce the effects of the red lightning on your bodies." Mika took out a red pouch from her handbag and gave it to John.
"This will only work on you, your wife and your daughter. Ryan won't be able to use it just like me." Mika said as she focused on her arm which tried to heal the wound but failed miserably. Even her blood can't heal her from this wound.
"Where did you get it?" John asked Mika in a low tone.
"I got it from a labyrinth and these pills have an anti contamination effect which can save you from the hellish wounds but lightning will still strike you." She said in a cheerful tone.
"I can't take it." John pushed back the pouch of pills to Mika who was surprised by what John said.
"Why is it? Are you worried that I will try to harm your family?" Mika lowered her head in embarrassment. She didn't expect that even Ryan's dad would suspect her.
"No It's not that, you should keep it for yourself. Things like these are really valuable and you should not give them to people when someone close to you might need it in the future." John said in a firm tone.
"Oh, you don't have to worry about that, I don't have anyone to give them to." Mika said with a bitter smile as she really didn't have any person she could care for. Her parents are long dead and she can barely remember their faces.
"Are you sure?" John asked her again to make sure she doesn't regret giving them to him.
"Definitely. I don't take back things I gave to someone." Mika said with a thumbs up.
"Thanks for the gift." John put the pouch inside his spatial ring before looking at her, who seemed to be looking at the bottle of whiskey.
"You want a drink?" John asked with a smile.
Mika reluctantly nodded as she didn't want Ryan's dad to think she was a drunkard who drinks regardless of the situation but even she was stressed so a drink or two wouldn't hurt.
The worker poured her a glass of whiskey and Mika gulped everything down at once.
"Okay." John muttered slowly as he asked the worker to pour her another glass.
"Mika, is it fine if I ask you a question?" John asked her as the worker finished pouring the third glass.
"Of Course you can, I know almost everything about him." Mika said without any hint of embarrassment.
John found her answer to be really weird but didn't say anything as it would be really awkward.
Mika stalked Ryan for the entire time she was on planet Earth and when he was not here she stalked his sister, Rebecca.
"Where was he during the past year and half?" John instinctively asked something he wanted to know which even Ryan didn't tell him about.
Was he being nosy? No, he was just trying to know more about his son. After Ryan returned, John for some reason felt like their roles were reversed with him being the son and Ryan his father.
"He went for training in an enclosed environment on the moon." Mika said with confidence overflowing from her.
Mika was right, because the pocket dimension had its source on the moon which made it easier for Selene to manipulate the time there because she practically owns the moon. Of Course it would not have been possible without the artefact given to her by Tia when Selene invited her to visit the moon.
The artefact was one of its kind because it harnessed the power of the moon to do various things and the ring Ryan was wearing was actually a part of the same artefact.
Ryan should not be able to use it because the artefacts had a special condition that only gods who are related to the moon and derive their power from it can use the artefact but for some reason Selene wanted Ryan to keep it in his possession.
"Moon huh." John smirked slightly.
"Do you know how he entered Earth again?" John asked her and at this point he stopped suspecting her because he didn't feel any ill intent from her.
"As far as I know the astronauts that were in space couldn't enter the planet because of some barrier that blocked anything from entering regardless of it being alive or dead." John said while tapping his finger on the table.
"He was helped by someone. I don't know that person's identity but they must have something which can tear through the barrier because when I tried to do it, I faced a backlash and was thrown into an ocean." Mika remembered when she tried this foolish act when she felt homesick.
"Oh I see, do you know anything about the woman he's dating?" John carefully asked this question when he noticed she let her guard down.
"Yes I do, who won't know about that crazy bitch. She's a bigger Stalker than me." Mika laughed out loud.
"She stalked Ryan for 6 years before she found a chance to date him. One crazy woman." Mika continued while laughing.
'My son, I wonder why the women around you have stalker personalities.' John thought as he worried about his son's love life.
"Oh, do you think Selene has any previous criminal records?" John couldn't help but ask.
"No, she's a pacifist or was because your son has a very bad influence on women. They act like simps after falling for him." Mika said with a smirk.
"Oh, are you perhaps inter-" John was about to tease the 'kid' in front of him but she interrupted him.
"I know what you will say but just so know I don't have any wish to get involved in his mess." Mika sternly said as she believed that even associating with Ryan will trigger Selene and let's not forget the vampire queen who outperforms all and everyone in stalking.
Mika and John talked for an hour about things about Ryan and other things she knew about.
"Mr. Miller, I'll take my leave now." Mika left with the same worker who brought her inside.
"So you bastards are now trying to destroy humans from within. Let's see how you do that." John grinned viciously as he gulped down his glass of whiskey.
"But why? Why did that man turn against his own people?" John muttered while trying to find reasons for this act.
John felt extremely confused as he picked the picture he got from Mika who left it here before leaving. The picture showed the Australian prime minister in his tattered clothes commanding numerous 'people'. Apparently this was the only proof Mika had, if John was honest with himself, it was enough proof to believe Mika's claims.
John for the entire time didn't feel any threat from Mika who seemed like a young woman most of the time but he couldn't shake off the feeling of him being the inexperienced one in the conversation.
John has seen people with different personalities and among them, the most dangerous are the ones who have immense knowledge. Mika's eyes were filled with confidence and authority. Although she tried to suppress it, the minor things like body language she couldn't control told a vast story about her.
For an example, If you stand in a room with a few people and they all look identical and you have to tell which of them is a mass murderer. You'll be confused for a while and curse the person who asked you to do it but after observing them for a while you'll start to notice subtle changes in their gaze, body movement and the way of talking.
And within an hour after that you'll directly point at one of them and say he's the mass murderer.
It's just the way it works.
In simple words, John was impressed by her. A young girl with eyes like that must have worked really hard to achieve it but he could never expect that the woman he met was even older than his dead great grandma.
So knowledge was the bare minimum for a vampire countess like her. I mean if you live for more than a thousand years you should not be like an ignorant kid who knows nothing about how the world works.
Anyways, John put on his suit jacket and walked out of the room. He has things to do and the day was just starting for him.
Somewhere away from the Night owl guild, a woman was walking towards the place she was currently staying at. Of Course her previous den was Ryan's old home but the fucking monsters crushed it. Her subordinates died and she has no access to witches to build a new den beneath Ryan's home.
"My life sucks." Mika wiped the sweat off her face.
Mika was actually in sunlight and it was hard for her to tackle her most hated enemy. She entered an alley which had an ample amount of shade which caused her to let out a sigh of relief.
She kept walking for five more minutes until she reached a house which had three Storeys. The house looked like the most common type of apartment with a staircase on the front which led to the second floor and so on.
She took out a key from her handbag and started climbing the stairs until she reached the third floor. Each floor had 3 rooms and Mika was staying in the last room on the floor.
She inserted the key in the key hole and turned it until she heard a clicking sound. She then pushed the door forward and entered her temporary home. The room only had basic necessities like her bed and mirror to leave narcissistic remarks about herself. She closed the door behind her and walked towards the bed to drop down on it. As she was laying down on the bed a black cloak appeared on her body and she removed it lazily.
The cloak looked mostly white with a black sword pattern. These types of cloaks are widely used by vampires to protect them from sunlight. Although the cloak can protect them from the harmful sunlight, it could not take away their natural fear of it. They still get sweaty when in contact with sunlight but it was a welcomed price.
Mika's body temperature soon decreased and she felt energised by her natural blood powers.
Mika got up and sat crossed legs on her bed. She then took out 15 blood red cores from the ring on her thumb. It was a spatial ring which far surpasses the limit of the rings found on Earth. She had many treasures inside it but she can't take them out here because they would be taken away by the planetary consciousness of Earth.
The gems had a faint glow which blinked in a regular interval. These cores were actually from her soldiers who died during the cataclysm.
"I still don't understand why America is targeted so much when there are not many strong individuals here." Mika muttered while she put her full gear to find anything she missed that might give her any clue why this place, when other countries like Russia possess really strong guardians.
