A black Bentley Continental GT stopped in front of a building that others call a mansion. A tall man got out of the car and stepped towards the door of the mansion. He raised his hand to open the door without bothering to knock first.
A small frown appeared between his eyebrows as his eyes found no one in the mansion. The man in the white coat stepped inside. And his frown became even clearer when he realized that none of the lights were on there, plus the window blinds were tightly closed as if blocking the afternoon sun from entering the luxurious building.
"Daniel?" He called. But only a silent echo returned his greeting. The sound of his shoes tapping echoed along with his voice.
The man walked towards the kitchen area which was still dark. And the sound of a small groan made his originally slow footsteps speed up.
"Daniel?" He whispered to another young man who was crouched on the floor with his face buried in his knees.
The young man looked up when he realized someone was approaching him. While the man who was standing could clearly see the blank look in the young man's eyes.
"Lucas..."
The man named Lucas crouched down in front of the young man.
"What's wrong? You-"
"I brought her here."
"What?"
Daniel got up from his seat and left Lucas just like that without explaining his meaning further. While the man was pensive thinking about who Daniel meant. But Daniel's words just interrupted his question.
"She's in the end room if you want to see her."
Lucas followed Daniel's words and immediately headed to the far end of the mansion. He slowly opened the door, trying not to disturb anyone in there.
"Sophia.." He mumbled softly as soon as he recognized who was lying on the bed in the room.
..
..
Sophia woke up with a stinging and numb feeling at the corners of her lips. The sky was already dark outside, and her eyes were trying to identify the dark and cramped room he was in now. The roar of the Air Conditioner was the only sound she heard in the room. Her breath hitched as she realized what was happening to her now."Where am I?" She mumbled softly. Sophia immediately got off the big bed where she was lying and walked towards the dark brown door which she assumed was the exit from this room.
Sophia tried violently to open the doorknob, but it was locked.
Tears started to fall down her cheeks. Sophia was afraid to think that she was being kidnapped and locked up right now. Sophia thought nothing but her parents. Sophia needs her mom and dad now.
"Help! Anyone there?" Sophia kept trying to open the doorknob and occasionally banging on it as if it would make the door lock open immediately.
"Where am I?" Her sobs were half a whimper. Her hands kept making noise by pounding on the bedroom door.
Not long after, the door suddenly opened, causing Sophia to flinch and run towards the corner of her room. Her body trembled in fear as someone she thought was a man approached her with light steps. Her body cornered, Sophia couldn't do anything but close her eyes and resign herself to what he would do to her after this.
"Do not come close!" Sophia grabbed the flower vase that was on the table nearby and was about to throw it at the man in front of her, but he grabbed her hand first.
Sophia was taken aback and stared fearfully at the tall man.
"Why can't you just shut up for a bit?" he asked in a low voice. Sophia clearly felt the aura of dominance that the man gave off.
Sophia tried to ignore the glint in the man's sharp eyes in front of her by looking away. But unexpectedly, the man gripped her chin harder. And those big fingers slowly crept down her neck, as if preparing to strangle her whenever he wanted to gripping her neck tightly in an enormous grip.
The fingers tightened. Sophia choked. The air she was trying to take in through her nose came to a halt in her throat, choking her. Her tears escaped again, hoping for mercy from the man to release her strangulation.
"No.."
"You will never meet with your fucking parents. You are mine. I will never let you go."
The man kept strangling her and Sophia found herself unable to breathe anymore. Sophia was gasping for air, her breathing was tight and her eyes were starting to lose control and they were spinning upwards.
"Ah-"
"I'm not going to kill you, honey."
After saying that, the man released the grip on her neck. Sophia sucked in as much air as possible to fill her nearly empty lungs. But as if not satisfied, the man again tortured Sophia by pulling her hair tightly.
Sophia looked up and screamed in terror, "Akh! That hurts!"
"You better shut up and obey me or something bad happens to you. Don't you know who I am?"
Sophia flinched when she felt the man's hand caress her left cheek.
Disgusted by the man's touch, Sophia brushed the hand that was on her cheek. Making the man growl in anger and give the woman a hard slap on the cheek.
"Who the hell are you? Why did you bring me here?!" Sophia screamed desperately. Her cheeks hurt so bad and her head started spinning too.
But in the midst of the dizziness that hit her head, Sophia could clearly see how the man's brown eyes slowly turned into a deep red color like blood. It was only a fleeting, split second, but Sophia was able to suffocate him.
Seeing the shock on Sophia's pale face, the man smirked.
"Now do you know who I am? I am a werewolf from the Terrion clan, haven't you heard of it?"
Sophia couldn't hide her surprise. Of course everyone knew about the strongest clan of werewolves. But all the stories about Terrion had become mere tales, because as far as she knew from people's stories, the Terrion clan had disappeared along with their clan leader who had been killed.
"Sophia Owens," The man's free hand reached out to gently caress her cheek, wiping away the tears from there, "Remember my words, I'm Daniel is your owner. You are the mate destined to marry me. Forever you are mine."
The man who claimed to be named Daniel loosened his grip, causing Sophia to breathe a little easier.
"Why? Why should I?"
Daniel brought his face closer to take a closer look at Sophia's face which clearly showed a look of fear.
His lips smirked, "They should be the ones explaining it to you, not me."
Sophia looked at the man who had now stood up and was about to walk out of the room. But the long footsteps stopped, and a sentence that slipped from the man's lips after that really plunged Sophia into an endless maze of ignorance..
..
..
Daniel came out of Sophia's room with a look that couldn't be separated from his hands. At the same time, Lucas came with a tray in both hands.
"What is it?"
Daniel looked up when Lucas asked.
"I hurt her," Daniel replied in a low voice. "I hate it, why can't I control my body in front of her? The hatred in her eyes reminds me of when her father killed my family."
"But you didn't attack her did you?"
"I really wanted to, but I held back,"
Lucas watched Daniel leave with a sigh accompanying him.
It shouldn't be like this.
