Chapter 3 - Dark Force (Chapter 3, Dark Soul)Short chapter

Horu: Then you'll have to go through me first.

He then proceeded to beat his chest

and said that he would protect her even if it leads him to his death, after saying that, Yura started to breath slowly and this greatly motivated Horu.

The Alpha hound proceeded to go straight for Horu but before he could reach him Horu jumped right over it and landed on the ground. He was shocked that his legs had that much power because he always skipped leg day, he thought to himself.

The hound jumped down as well and told his betas to go back to the den. He then proceeded to ask the hound if they were the reason why most people died when they entered the forest, the hound was hesitant at first but confessed to him that he would let his betas kill the humans that dared entered the forest.

He asked the hound why they did that and it replied;

Hound: We need to teach the humans a lesson for what they did to us years back, they almost destroyed the whole forest leaving us to live in here, and since we didn't want them to destroy our final remaining piece of our home, we asked a powerful mage to create an illusion within this forest and we would use it as our hunting ground.

Horu: Well, it seems as if your intentions aren't evil, so bye!

Hound: Wait! where do you think you're going, you need to give us the girl.

Horu: Nope! see you later, and be happy that I didn't kill every single thing in this forest.

Hound: Not even the strongest of Denkali could take us down, let alone the whole forest.

Horu then stopped in his tracks and looked back at the hound, wiping off his smile with a menacing glare and said;

Horu: Don't...dare....me.

The hound instantly backed down and noticed that Horu wasn't like other mortals, he noticed that he had a Dark soul.

He then let Horu go free, even though he knew that he wasn't powerful enough to destroy the whole forest, he knew that he wouldn't be able to defeat him either, and by fighting Horu, he would just help him achieve new levels of power.

Horu navigated his way out of the forest and when he got out it looked like it was exactly the same time as he entered the forest. He was shocked for a second but then he stopped and understood why it was called the forest of illusions.

He walked for some time, training in his way and exploring the environment on the other side of the forest until he came to a bridge that led to a wooden path, he followed it and realised that the area was owned by something or some one.
