"I kinda get that, a lot of people back home treat me with little respect because my dad is a king, I'm kinda the outcast in my town." I said trying not to sound sad.
"Oh I know you Avyanna Medius, but do you know who you are?"
"What?" Was the first thing that popped out of mouth.
"Oh- I didn't- I'm sorry, t- that was so rude of me." I said with my words all over the place but she just laughed.
"It's fine, I want you to see me as a friend and not that all mighty moon goddess everyone talks about." She said with a calming smile and I calmed down instantly.
"Good, now where was I? Ah yes, I was asking if you knew who you were Avyanna Medius." She asked again.
"Well, I'm an entitled princess, well at least that's what others think I am anyways." I said with a weird laugh after.
"But do You know who you are." She said emphasizing on the "you".
I thought about it for a while, but for the longest time I thought I was just a weird hybrid who couldn't use any of her powers, just useless but now... now I had Bernessa.
"I-i don't really know what I am but with Bernessa, I feel I can be so much more than just an entitled princess. Even if I don't know what that is yet." I said with a shy laugh.
"Is that so now, okay. So how do you feel with your wolf?" She asked with inquisitive eyes.
"Well, with Bernessa, I'm no longer a total outcast, but personally, I feel stronger, more confident and to be honest, less alone." I answered sincerely.
The moon goddess shook her head as if getting everything I said down on a sheet of paper.
"Listen to me Avyanna. Bernessa is no ordinary wolf, to be precise she is the Luna to the King Alpha." The moon goddess explained.
The King Alpha? I've heard them from mother's stories before but I never thought they were real? I always thought all that was a myth.
"But I thought that was a myth, something out of kids stories to scare them." I said.
"Well you thought the same about the moon goddess too but here we are." She replied with a little bit of sass.
"Anyways, the thing is only when you meet your mate will you be able to full utilize your powers as the Luna especially your magic powers." She continued to explain.
"Wait! so I'm not powerless?" I said reaching out to the hope in her words.
"Of course, I did that to help you grow and not become to reliant on those things, power? magic? Those things can cripple a whole nation if it's lost." She said laughing.
"B-but why? Why chose me. I mean, they're many proper she wolves out there, why chose a lowly hybrid like me." Those words tasted bitter in my mouth but it had to be said.
"Avyanna, I have many children and I love them all but I also understand what they can and cannot handle, you may be a hybrid but that's what makes you special. Your father's kindness and your mother's strength, I will forever be grateful to them for birthing you Avyanna." She explained calmly.
I felt tears well up in my eyes as finally someone other than my parents has affirmed my life. I was overwhelmed with joy.
"The sun is about to come up, I must send you back to have a proper rest, I presume you have school tomorrow?." She asked and all I could do was nod.
"Okay, there are other things I would want to tell you but you'll have to find out for yourself later. It's better that way." She continued.
"And finally, Avyanna, I don't usually summon my children to have a leisurely chat with them, the truth is, your world is in danger and only the bond between you and your mate is strong enough to thwart this impending doom. I have no more time but my blessings are with you my child. Now go on." She said blowing a light dust from her hand before I could say anything.
"Thank you!'' I screamed before I lost consciousness and the last thing I remembered was her smile.
I fell into a thoughtless, peaceful, dreamless sleep after that and I could say it was the most peaceful sleep I've had in years.

"Hey- Hey!! Wake up already. We're gonna be late for our final training." I heard Bernessa's waking me up.
"Fine fine, I'll get up. But since when did you like early mornings?" I said yawning and stretching my body trying to wake up.
"Well since there's no other fun thing to do duh... Now get up!" Ber said loudly in my head.
"Shut up... I'm getting up." I snapped getting irritated.
"Someone's grouchy... Tough night?" Bre asked.
"I'm sorry... I guess, just forget it. Let's get ready." I said going to the bathroom to get ready.
After a few minutes of brushing and reciting my mantra in front of the mirror I got out to find Mom on my bed.
"My gosh! You scared me!" I screamed.
"I'm sorry now sweetheart... Good morning." Mom said with a smile which was kind of weird.
"Okay.. why are you in my room so early?" I asked going to seat beside her.
"It's... It's just... W-"
"We have to cancel training today... You'll be going back to school." Kendra mind linked us what Mom was stuttering to say.
"What? Why?" I asked feeling upset but not as upset as Breny was feeling right now.
"Well... We- we-" Mom started stuttering again.
"Mom!" I screamed.
"The truth is Avy is that our pack has finally reached out to us for the first time in eighteen years. It's a king's summoning, which means it doesn't matter if I'm a warrior wolf, we were still raised in an omega home which make us omegas by default." Kendra explained, I looked at her confused awaiting further explanations.
"Look, it's a direct order from the present alpha himself and we can't just turn down this call. We'll be leaving soon but that doesn't mean you'll stop training. I want you to build yourself, be more confident in yourself and your abilities, if anything I don't want you to end up shy and reserved like your Mom here."
"Kendra-" Mom said but was still interrupted by Kendra.
"Child! Come out here." Kendra called Bernessa. I went back as Bernessa slowly moved forward after being called out.
"I want you to take care of Avyanna, unfortunately she's still slightly like her mother and I wouldn't want that to rub off on you so I need you to take charge of this duo, you're stronger and more intelligent and I believe in you." Kendra finished, although I felt insulted but I let it slide for their sake.
But all this was too sudden and unrealistic to be true, it's been almost eighteen years and all of a sudden they summon my mother... Sketchy indeed.
"Do you know why you're being summoned?" I asked.
"I don't want to assume the worse but if they're reaching out to an outcast then it must be something big, I just hope that all is well." Kendra answered.
"Now please don't ask anymore questions, I'm just as confused as you are and we have to leave immediately as well. Keep in touch my dear." Kendra said standing up to leave the room.
I sat there stunned for a while trying to wrap my head around why they would summon Mom and Kendra from a pack that had deserted them all those years ago.
"Hey. Hey!!" Brenessa shouted getting my attention.
"We need to see them off at least, get your ass up or I'm forcefully taking control." Breny threatened.
I stood up immediately and ran downstairs and thankfully I made it just in time as Mom shifted into her wolf.
Mom had always said something about how werewolves like to keep to themselves and how they don't do well with outsiders, I'm guessing that's why she's going in her wolf form.
Thankfully Father had some strong mages to follow her with her stuff, that put me more at ease.
"Mom!" I called out as they were ready to leave.
"Please stay safe, I'll try to mind link you if it's possible from that distance, I hope you remember where you're going?" I ranted at once.
"The nose knows. Take care my dear and look after your brother." She said finally as she ran off into the woods with the mages right behind her.
I had a bad feeling about this but I couldn't stop her, I've heard from her stories that you can never defy an Alpha.
Father placed his hands on my shoulders as if he saw through my mind, he hugged me giving me all the comfort I needed at that moment.
"Come on sweetheart, you need to get ready for school, I'm sure she'll be fine, she has Kendra, right." Father said with a reassuring smile.
I smiled and went back inside, I saw Aspen by the balcony probably trying to assess the whole situation. I ignored him as I climbed up to my room and he did the same too. Some siblings we were.
