Chereads / Descendant Of LUCIFER / Chapter 17 - TRUE PLANT.

Chapter 17 - TRUE PLANT.

Felix groaned uncomfortably. Why did it have to be them during the first set. It seemed their divine luck had finally run out. In the beginning, he was quite suspicious. But now he was certain. Natasha had cast some kind of luck spell which explained their original luck which was too good to be true...

They all walked to the arena. Natasha and Iris seemed to be blessed with new vigor, while Felix was gloomy like an old man who knew his death date. The other team, Team 10 had already assembled. Team 10 consisted of three sisters. The age gap between them was not that significant. And they were all B ranked mercenaries, with the same ability. They almost looked alike with their pink hairs and cute eyes. The only notable difference was that the one in the middle, Rose was very curvy, The one on the left who was called Cherry was fat, and the one on Rose's right was plain. Her name was Tulip.

"READY?! GO!!" The commentator wasted no time at all and began the battle immediately both teams were ready.

Without warning, Natasha began to levitate, with her beautiful green hair fluttering wildly in the air, even though there was no wind. She began to wave her fingers, and runes danced all around her figure. As if it was planned, Iris summoned a glistening ice sword and immediately charged towards the trio, brandishing her ice sword with icy pride.

The one called Cherry immediately came forward and swung her arms. Countless tiny seeds landed on the ground and instantly burrowed into the ground. Iris was just a few feet from slashing at Cherry who was at the very front, when tree trunks the size of men instantly sprouted forth, blocking off her path. She had barely survived the shock when Rose sprinkled some seeds into the ground and sharp vines shot towards Iris. Iris instantly summoned a curtain of water to defend herself. The vines collided with the wall of water. It was like throwing a stone into water. All that was produced was a ripple on the surface. But that was not all. Some sneaky vines, under the control of Rose maneuvered their way around the wall. Iris was fast, but not fast enough. She dodged to the side, but the sharp vines aiming towards her heart grazed her shoulder instead. Another well hidden vine appeared as if out of nowhere, aiming to pierce her face. But...

Pew~

A blue laser struck the vine, instantly decapacitating it. It fell to the ground. Iris couldn't help but cast a thankful glance towards Felix who was glaring at the trio behind the wall of thick trees, his face contorting.

"I AM STRONG!" he said. But everyone on his team knew that he was just reassuring himself. His legs transformed into thrusters and he dashed towards Them, furiously firing lasers at the large tree trunks that was protecting the trio. Suddenly, Natasha finished chanting, her eyes glowing green. She abruptly pointed towards the tree trunks, and they withered away. They just withered, and died. Felix and Iris charged towards them, a pervading cold following Iris and a fierce dust gale left behind by Felix as he charged, barely inches off the ground.

Rose clicked her tongue. These alleged nameless guys were able to deal with them with ease. She suddenly realized that the True Descendant wasn't the only threat. That witch who was supporting from the back was scary.

"Tulip?" she called out. The said girl just nodded and sprinkled something around them. Cherry, without missing a beat sprinkled seeds, twice as many as the first set. More trees sprouted from the ground, under the command of the fat plant master. Felix wasn't fast enough to halt in his tracks and he collided. Without missing a beat, Rose had her deadly vines wrap around him, holding him in place. But all was bound to go wrong. In an instant, ice had covered all the tree trunks, and the vines, stopping them in their tracks. Iris savagely swung her ice sword. The now frozen trees were like origami paper as they crumbled into a thousand pieces. Iris didn't even look at Felix as she charged right in. But instead of panic, Rose had a sly smile on her face. Without warning, the area around the was pervaded with a stinking green fog, with Iris inside. Felix couldn't help but think back to the time Tulip sprinkled something on the ground. He was about to dash in, but a green streak of light entered the fog. He couldn't help but smile and wish Natasha good luck. He retreated a few meters away and turned on infrared vision as he saw the heat signatures of those within. Basically, Rose was the main attack force as her vines were sharp and quick. Cherry was a defense type plant ability user, while Tulip was a type of support. He was about to shoot into the fog, but he remembered there was something he had to check. His drones were after all still working for him, their daddy. He opened his account, and he couldn't help but gasp.
