Chapter 19 - TRUE DESCENDANT VS DRAGON CHILD.

The battles continued as normal. The crowd was not as excited, because they already knew the outcome. All was kept moderate, until...

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! ONLY THREE TEAMS HAVE MADE IT THUS FAR! OUR BELOVED TEAM 1"

The crowd roared in excitement. Pure unbridled excitement. Team 1 had dominated all their battles, with only one of their members. The remaining two had just stayed back and watched as their team mate with the lightning element had dominated the battle. Team 1 was easily the strongest team so far.

"TEAM 12!' The commentator was someone very good at cheering the crowd. And the camera man was none to be outdone either. A large hologram screen was showing the mentioned teams and their previous most epic battles so far.

"AND THE TEAM 15...!!" The commentator finalized. Of all the cheers, the cheer for Team 15 was the loudest. Team 15 had turned out to be the strongest dark horse of this contest so far. They were totally unknown, no fancy armor or equipment, and they just seemed like ordinary youngsters. During their first battle, the crowd had expected a massacre, but Team 15 had given the other team a one sided beating instead. Everybody was suddenly focused on Team 15. But that being said, Team 1 was no doubt the strongest team in this tournament. The question on everybody's mind was who was stronger between Team 15 and Team 12!

And the commentator was an expert at pleasing the crowd."THE NEXT BATTLE IS NONE OTHER THAN THE ANTICIPATED BATTLE BETWEEN TEAM 12 AND TEAM 15!!"

All other sound was drowned by the crowd's excited roar. Finally, a more exciting battle was going to take place!

"What the..."

"This..." Anthony was speechless. Goro, who was flying the spaceship was dumbfounded. Wasn't this the planet known as The Wasteland? Why was a quarter of it missing??

"This just shows that there are many others who are after the orbs, and they are also one step ahead of us." Anthony said, massaging his temples. It was not all bad.

"Why do you need the orbs?" a female voice asked. Anthony turned to see Doctor Iris standing behind and looking at the planet before them. If anything, she seemed calm.

He had decided to give her a longer leash. They were in a spaceship. The only people on the spaceship were her, Anthony and Goro. With her strength, there was no way she could take out Goro, a humanoid Legendary tier best that was on the verge of evolving to the next tier, let alone him, a Telepath.

"There are other-worldly beings at work, gathering the orbs. The threat that lay beyond The Lost dimension can bring unimaginable chaos to our Universe. I intend to destroy the orbs. And the only way to destroy them is to bring them all together." he monitored her thoughts. Even though she remained expressionless on the surface, he knew what she was thinking. "I guess your organization didn't disclose everything to you?"

Her expression finally shifted. She glared at Anthony warily.

"Did I hit a soft spot, Agent 10?"

Felix, Iris and Natasha stood at the end of the stadium. Opposite them was Ruby, Brandy and Dylan. Felix gulped. To be honest, this was more than he asked for. Iris and Natasha were total monsters! They were too strong. All he did was support them throughout the fights. And now, they were part of the top three strongest teams in the tournament. But it still was a bundle of joy.He had more money than he could count. Previously, he could know the amount he had at a first glance. But now, the zeros and figures were too much for him to tell the exact amount at first glance. He was filled with utmost glee! But that being said, that was if they made it out of here alive. There were only two ways to lose a battle here. Either by death, or surrender. Even surrendering was not guaranteed, as it would be up to your opponent to decide if you deserved to live. In other words, your life would be in the stronger opponent's hands! Felix didn't like the sound of that at all.

[The only way to win this is to fight separately] Felix informed them through the mind link. Instead of fighting as a team, he was telling them that it would be better to face their opponents separately. In other words, every man for themselves.

Iris nodded. Natasha wasn't too pleased about it though. Her demon powers would be perfect in this situation, but she had made the crowd believe she was a witch.

[I'll take the guy with the sword, Iris you take the red head, and Natasha, deal with that muscle guy] Felix informed them.

Natasha's face darkened further. She was technically now witch! How was she supposed to face a guy who was an expert at close combat brawling? If she didn't cast her spells fast enough, she would be done for. On second thought, it was probably the best plan. If Felix fought the muscle guy, he would just be smacked to death.

"READY?! FIGHT!" The commentator shrieked. On second thought, it was a miracle his voice was still available.

Iris left a gust of cold wind as she charged at Ruby. Ruby was surprised at first, but she grinned eerily. Similarly, she left a red trail as she swept through the air. from afar, it was as if a red and blue comet were about to collide.

Ice sword!

Iris summoned a sword made of dazzling ice out of nowhere. She swung it with surprising power. A crescent slash was seen, making its way towards Ruby. It formed a deep fissure in the ground, and cold gas seeped out of it.

Ruby leapt to the side and agile dodged the wave of ice. She looked over her shoulders and was surprised. If that thing had touched her, she would have been decapacitated, and her blood would be frozen.

"Dragon claw!" She swung her hand like a claw.

Beside Iris, a claw made of lave suddenly appeared, aiing to shred her to pieces. Iris didn't expect that. Ice crystals rapidly gathered towards her. It formed a giant shield in the shape of a heart beside her. She then proceeded to cover herself in a bubble of water.

But despite that, the claw was unstoppable. The heart shield was broken to pieces, and Iris and her bubble were sent flying. Luckily, the bubble was sturdier than Ruby had expected. It cushioned Iris's fall, and she bounced around the stadium.

-What was that just now?- Iris was shocked. The speed of execution and the power of that attack was insane! And what was more confusing was that the girl's ability didn't belong to the Flers or the Sunborns. The Flers had the phoenix flames which were extremely hot and had the ability to burn anything to ashes, while the Sunborn's flames were highly destructive.

Iris didn't have anytime to catch her breath. When she stood up, her vision was filled with the sight of a giant fireball. It was like a miniature sun! She immediately swung her sword. Her ice sword cut the fireball into two, and the solid frozen halves fell on either side of her.

"You're stronger than I expected." Iris said calmly, looking at Ruby who was standing not too far.

"You're not too bad yourself." Ruby chuckled. "Show me your true strength." she grinned.
