Yin Zhen was power drained after that destructive blast forcing him to the ground in defeat, it was impossible to weaken him this immensely but somehow those demons managed to pull it off by tricking him which he foolishly fell for.
Anger flashed in his dark obsidian orbs but it was too late to do anything as the strange force already consumed half of his strength and had sent him flying down from the high realms to earth. He was the supreme dragon lord of the four seas, how could they easily subdue him??
Earthbound, he remained motionless on the ground all wounded and bleeding from the impact of the blast as well as his fall, he rolled on his back letting out a painful sigh like all his bones were fixated in the wrong directions, his vision was a blur and he cursed silently, he couldn't envisage his surrounding clearly but he could tell it was a pretty place.
Unable to deal with the torturing pain in his human form, he took the form of a white dragon wolf, once a higher dragon loses its strength, it takes the form of a 'lesser', known as the weakest form of any dragon which does not correspond with the dragon's itself but a different animal or reptile, fortunately he gained that of a wolf dragon.
'Those demons dare to trick me!! I'll make them pay heavily!!' He cursed while gritting his sharp white teeth, showing off his fangs and clawing his paws to the ground, ripping the soil from its earth.
He was critically injured and could barely move, incapable of expressing his anger properly which irked him, he remained in his position, acting lifeless while trying to gather his strength which would probably take him weeks, that was if he doesn't die before then.
Just a few minutes while he was busy pondering on his unfortunate predicament, his fox-like ears could hear faint voices like people talking and approaching his way, 'Now who dares to disturb my peace??'
Feeling irritated already, he didn't bother to open his eyes and the voices grew more audible with more chattering. He was sure they didn't belong to a male, who are these trespasser's?
"It's not moving."
"Is it dead?"
Yin Zhen held his impatience as they continued to whisper, he didn't have that strength to waste on mortals and hopefully they leave and let him regain his strength without spreading a word of what they just saw.
"It's badly injured, we can't just leave it here?"
And the unbearable whispering continued not until he sensed someone crouching just beside his body, who is this??
Unable to hide his curiosity, his eyes finally flickered open, incapable of feigning death any longer.
He locked gaze with a big brown eyes, watching it widen as if startled by his sudden awakeness but yet again, he wasn't going to stress himself with mortals and barely moved.
"It's badly injured, we need to treat it." He sensed the alarm in her soft tone and not too long, he watched her race to her basket to get something which made Yin Zhen's fox-like ears twitch alarmingly. What does this human plan on doing to him??
She hurried back to him but he kept his glaring eyes locked on her, growling in evidence of his foul mood, if she dared to touch him he wouldn't hesitate to bite her!
"Hello there." Her sweet, soft voice rang calmly in his ears, cutting him off guard at the right moment and he actually found her voice to be quite…... pleasing. She carried an innocent smile on her glowing pale face leaving Yin Zhen dumbfounded.
"I'm not here to hurt you okay? I just want to help, if you let me, I could get you treated and heal your wounds."
Yin Zhen scoffed silently as he stared at her innocent-looking face, like hell he'd believe she could actually help him, who sees a strange wolf with wings and still chooses to help? Probably a trick since the humans are known for such vile schemes.
He realized she wasn't backing down either as she showed the herbs in her fair palms as evidence to her words
"I come in peace, do let me treat your wounds for you else it'll only get worse."
He didn't want to make a move first, she actually sounded genuine and willing to help, if it could get him out of here before he gets spotted by commoners, then it was certainly fine by him.
He obliged and watched her treat his wound with care, he barely felt the pain. Her touch was surprisingly light and gentle to the point he immediately dropped his guard, he had to, it's the first time he's ever gotten such warm treatment before.
He noticed the faint smile on her lips the moment he dropped his guard and realized she was actually really pretty, she had a small and delicate face, her big round eyes staring with such tenderness as she helped him with his wound, her chestnut brown hair rolling past her back and everything about her seemed to look delicate, she was indeed pretty.
The moment she was done, he was actually stunned by the gentle manner she used in picking him up from the ground. She actually felt soft and he had the urge to relax in her warm arms.
She seems trustworthy, it'll be more safe to remain in her custody for the meantime till he has completely healed up, he'll have no choice but to act as a pet even if it's against his principles.
