For the next two weeks of Joseph and Rudy's recovery, Jeanohntae has not spoken to either of them. Christian was the only one communicating with all of them. Nikki and Nellie decided to spend a few weeks at a hotel plotting their next moves.
However, the three men at home knew exactly why they kept leaving the house. They still never told Jeanohntae about them. They wanted her to enjoy the life of not having to worry about anything.
In the bedroom, Jeanohntae was packing a few items in a small bag. Leah came knocking on the door with Jeanohntae's breakfast. "Ms. Jean, are you hungry!?? I brought you breakfast." Leah slowly opened the door and heard all the noise Jeanohntae was making in the closet.
Christian was just walking out of his office when he heard all the noise in the bedroom. He got curious and started walking to the door when he saw Leah standing in the doorway. "What's wrong!??"
Leah turned around and saw Christian. "Umm… Mr. Christian, I came to deliver Ms. Jean's breakfast. When I opened the door, all I could hear was a bunch of noise but cannot see Ms. Jean."
Christian turned Leah away. "Go ahead and bring her breakfast back down. I don't think she's hungry right now. Don't worry about it, I'll check on her." Leah nodded and left.
Christian sighed and slowly walked in. "Jean, what are you doing!?? You made Leah worry about you." Before Christian could reach the closet door, Jeanohntae came rushing out scaring Christian. He took a few steps back and his eyes widened. 'Is she smiling!??' Christian was wondering what was going on.
Jeanohntae's smile widened. "I'm sorry if I made her worry. Here, put these on and come down stairs." She tossed a pair of Christian's clothes at him and ran out the room. Christian could not say anything because by the time he turned around, she was already out the door.
Christian looked at the clothes in his hands and was surprised that they were a simple T-shirt and jeans. He thought about it for a while and he remembered seeing Jeanohntae wearing a T-shirt and jeans.
He looked down at the clothes he was wearing and sighed. ' I just put on my suit an hour ago. Why am I changing!??' Christian did as instructed and went downstairs. He saw Jeanohntae sitting on the couch scrolling through her phone.
When Jeanohntae looked up, she saw him wearing the clothes she picked. She stood and walked to the front door. "Let's get going."
Christian did not understand where they were going. "Jean, where are we going!??" Jeanohntae turned around and smiled. "We're going to the zoo. Our dads have recovered, so I thought we could all go out for the day."
Jeanohntae walked out with Christian following close behind. "There you are. What took you so long!??" Joseph asked. Christian stopped midway and looked at the four bodyguards and four drivers standing in line. He point at them and asked in confusion. "What are they doing!??"
Joseph chuckled and explained. "When Jean said she wanted to go out, we decided we should all have a bodyguard watching over one of us. So what happened to us, won't happen to anyone else."
Christian nodded in agreement. Jeanohntae continued where Joseph left off. "Uncle Joseph assigned a specific bodyguard to each of us. They are to follow us wherever we go. Including to your work and in front of your study in the house. When we all sleep, the bodyguards will switch so they could take a rest. When we go out separately, we each have our own driver. However, since we are all riding in only two vehicles, two drivers will be riding together to switch off."
Christian looked at Jeanohntae explaining everything and wanted to kiss her to stop her from talking. He refrained himself from doing so because everyone would be watching them. At that moment, Butler Lu came out and whispered something in Joseph and Rudy's ear.
Jeanohntae and Christian looked at each other puzzled, and then at the two. Butler Lu immediately left as he saw their curious gazes. He did not want them to ask him what he said because he would be disrespecting all of them if he said anything or nothing at all.
Joseph explained to Christian who each of the bodyguards and drivers will be assigned to. "Alright so the bodyguards will have someone to watch over. Lennie will be with you, Jojo will be with Uncle Rudy, Kylee will be with Jeanohntae and Dan is with me."
Christian nodded and was about to say something when Joseph stopped him. "I'm not done. As for the drivers. We each have our personal drivers, but if we are riding together, they all have to be together as well. Landon will be with you. JJ will be with Jeanohntae. Noah will be with uncle Rudy and Richard is with me."
Everybody understood, even the drivers and bodyguards. The only thing Joseph did not mention to everyone, was that each of the bodyguards have all been promoted to an elite bodyguard. The four bodyguards that are assigned to each of them, each have their own squad. A squad consisting of 10 other bodyguards in case of an emergency.
Which means, Lennie has his own 10 to command. Same with Kylee, she has her own 10. Including Dan and Jojo. They too have their own 10 bodyguards to command. However, those 10 are not to interfere unless it is an emergency or if they are called to action.
After everything was explained, they all got into their respected and proceeded to head to the zoo. Christian and Jeanohntae had both their drivers in the car with them while they were in the backseat. The same goes for Rudy and Joseph. They were in the backseat while their drivers were in the front.
When it took them about 30 minutes to get there. When they got there, the zookeeper and manager Ken greeted them. "Welcome back Mr. Joseph and Mr. Christian. How may we help you guys today."
"We are just here to see the animals and check in on Poncho." Joseph said. Ken smiled sweetly. "Poncho is sleeping in his cage. Feel free to wake him. I'm sure he will be really excited to see you."
Jeanohntae and Rudy looked at each other in surprise. Jeanohntae's eyes lit up. "Poncho is here!?? I thought you guys took him with you and gave him to someone else." Christian started to laugh. "No, we just gave him to the zoo and Ken to watch after him for us. We did not want Poncho to travel with us.
Poncho is Christian's horse. They use to love playing with poncho everyday before Christian and Joseph left. "Let's go see him." Jeanohntae said excitedly.
Joseph and Christian started to laugh and walked to where Poncho was at. The four bodyguards that were assigned to each of them, were following close behind them. They really did not want to mess up their jobs again.
Jeanohntae saw Poncho laying down and called out to him. "Poncho! Poncho come here boy." Jeanohntae called out excitedly.
Poncho woke up and saw Jeanohntae, he slowly walked to her and Jeanohntae started to play with him. Rudy too walked up and played with Poncho. Jeanohntae was tearing up at the sight of Poncho.
Rudy wasn't sure if Poncho remembered them. "Hey Poncho. You remember this old man!??" Rudy laughed as he asked Poncho. It was a happy day for them all. Especially Jeanohntae, she has been especially fond of Poncho since they first met.
Poncho had become apart of their family. Jeanohntae loved Poncho. Probably even more than Christian. Usually when Rudy and Jeanohntae went to visit them when she was still small. She would ignore Christian most of the time and play with Poncho.
