At that time, Ekta sat on Nolan's thigh with her arms around his neck, and asked tentatively "When will you get a divorce from Shyla? I have been waiting for you, but I can't wait anymore to marry you?" Deep down she was afraid that if they continued like that Nolan would regain his memory one day or maybe he could realize his true feelings. So, she thought she had to do something before the situation turned upside down.
They looked very intimate and affectionate.
Nolan touched Ekta's nose dotingly and said in an affectionate voice "I'll deal with the divorce with Shyla tomorrow. I'll marry you as soon as possible then. You don't have to wait any longer".
Ekta thought for a while and asked uneasily, "Will you take care of her baby?" This is what is eating her alive. She is nervous at the thought of the baby in Shyla's womb. That baby is definitely a threat to her and her kids. So, she strongly decided in her heart to get rid of Shyla and her baby as soon as possible.
Nolan frowned. He had a strange mixed feeling in his heart, that was his own flesh and blood. But, he dismissed that thought immediately. The child in Shyla's belly was indeed complicated for him. "She was the one who wanted the child, so it would have nothing to do with me. It won't affect our marriage".
"I believe in you. Nolan, I love you"
Ekta confessed her love and kissed Nolan's thin lips. They began to kiss each other.
Shyla had mixed-up emotions. She bit her lips when she stared at Nolan's handsome face. She realized they no longer had any affection for each other. That thought made her tears pour down her face uncontrollably.
She gave up looking for Nolan's fault. There was bound to be someone who would get hurt in the relationship.
Shyla left the hospital in despair. If this was the last time she saw Nolan, it was time for her to give up, as they would get married right after the divorce.
Vivaan returned from buying some mooncakes. When he opened the door, he immediately panicked that he didn't see Shyla. He dropped the mooncakes in his hand and ran out to ask the nurse about Shyla. The nurse didn't know Shyla's whereabouts. Vivaan thought carefully and guessed that Shyla might have sent him away so that she could leave the hospital without his knowing. Vivaan knows her very well. They have been buddies since childhood.
Vivaan's face was full of anger. He gave up on Shyla so that Nolan could take care of her. After five years, he could only get such a result.
Burning with anger, he rushed to look for Nolan. Nolan was holding Ekta's hand, ready to go through the discharge formalities, when the unknown danger arrived.
Upon seeing Nolan holding his new lover, Vivaan lost his mind and shouted, "Nolan Bernard!"
Nolan turned around and was greeted with a punch right on the face. Nolan tasted the blood in his mouth. He raised his head and glared at Vivaan. "You're crazy!"
"Am I crazy? I think you're the one who is crazy. Shyla loved you for 13 years and she almost lost her life for you. But what did you do to her? You were fooling around with other women when she was pregnant!" Vivaan was furious as he had been in love with Shyla for so many years. He couldn't accept that Nolan didn't care for her at all.
Nolan didn't like Vivaan because of Shyla. He wiped the blood from his mouth and said sarcastically, "You should know she still chose me. She didn't even bother looking your way. Vivaan, I can understand that you want to vent out your anger at me because she didn't choose you. However, please don't say that she has done a lot for me. She is so cruel that she doesn't deserve love."
His words successfully infuriated Vivaan. His face darkened, and in a fit of rage, Vivaan shouted angrily "Nolan!" and punched Nolan again. Nolan took a few steps back and retaliated. The two men then began to tussle with each other.
"You don't deserve to mention Shyla at all, you ungrateful b*stard!" Vivaan grabbed Nolan's collar. He finally lost his temper after suppressing his anger for so many years.
"What about you? You've been her backup for so many years. How does it feel?" Nolan said sarcastically.
Vivaan's face was red with anger upon hearing Nolan's words, "So, why didn't you cherish her? She has always loved you, but what did you do? You let her down instead. I am once again saying that you don't deserve to mention Shyla at all, and you don't deserve her love at all." At that time, his eyes were wet.
Nolan couldn't understand Vivaan's despair, nor did he understand the reason Vivaan liked Shyla. Nolan wondered the reason Vivaan told him all these, when it would be better for Vivaan to pursue Shyla behind his back.
"Shyla almost died at that time. Do you know that?"
After saying this, Vivaan's eyes turned red. This was excruciating pain for him. What else could he comment on when Shyla was ready to sacrifice herself for Nolan?
Nolan was indifferent, as he didn't take Vivaan's words seriously at all. "Let go of me. It's none of my business whether she is alive or dead."
"Where can she go if she leaves the hospital? She has no one to rely on but you. But what did you do? You cruelly pushed her away. Her life has been ruined at your hands and you can still say such cruel words! You are not even worthy of being a human."
Vivaan was still angry, but he was even sadder as Nolan was unaware of what Shyla had done for him.
"Isn't she in the hospital? What happened?" Nolan didn't understand.
"You are the best ideal husband I have ever known. You didn't even know what happened to your wife. Yet, you are taking care of another woman in such a caring manner, that's really impressive," Vivaan said sarcastically.
At Vivaan's words, Nolan felt irritated and impatient and asked with anxiety again "what happened to Shyla?" He didn't even know that his voice was anxious...
"Don't you know? She almost miscarried. She has been resting in the hospital these days. She had just driven me away and left the hospital. She may do something stupid!" Vivaan said desperately.
Nolan was a little stunned. He pursed his lips as if he did not know what to say.
After knowing Shyla for so long, Nolan couldn't treat her as a stranger. Even though she had done so many cruel things to Ekta, he still couldn't hate Shyla. This feeling was probably the reason that he panicked upon hearing that Shyla had left.
Vivaan finally let go of him and he said in a dispirited voice, "Nolan, you don't deserve to be well treated by Shyla at all."
