''Did you just arrive?'' Veta asked.
''Yes, I just arrived. I wanted to meet you before going to see my girl.''
''Let's go there then. Claudia is excited to see you.''
''How did the surgery go?'' Mr. Samuels asked as they walked towards the ward.
''It went well. Claudia is out of danger.'' Veta opened the door and they went in.
''Claudia…'' Mr. Samuels called.
''Daddy, you made it.'' Claudia looked excited. She hugged her father.
''My beautiful girl. How are you doing?''
''I'm fine.'' Claudia looked at Veta and asked. 'Dr. Veta, don't tell me you are going to stand him up?''
''Huh?'' Veta's eyes widened. She had totally forgotten about Carlos.
''Go!'' Claudia said.
''Oh… Mr. Samuels, I have to go. I will see you around.'' Veta said and ran out of the ward.
After waiting for three hours, Carlos stood up. He looked disappointed as he turned to leave.
