Veta took in a deep breath. This was the first time they were meeting since last night when that happened. She hadn't seen him all morning and almost thought she was going to go through the day without seeing him.
''Good morning, Dr. Carlos.'' Veta said and bowed her head before walking away.
''I thought you were married?'' Carlos asked and Veta turned to look at him.
''There are a lot of things you don't know about me, Director.'' Veta replied.
''I'm sorry for misunderstanding you!'' Carlos said and Veta looked at him with a shocked expression.
''Are you talking to me?'' Veta asked. She was shocked and wasn't sure if he was really apologizing to her or she probably heard it wrong.
''Yes.'' Carlos put his hands into his pocket and looked at her.
''Did you just apologise to me? Why?'' Veta asked again.
''Yes. Is that much of a surprise?'' Carlos asked.
''Yes!''
''I see….'' Carlos muttered and walked away.
