After Maria was assigned to their group, she strutted over and took a spot among the group as if she was supposed to be there the whole time. Milo first took the chance to check her ability to see what role she would be best placed at. Her ability was lightning, the other elemental ability considered the strongest besides frost which was what Milo used as his main ability. Due to this, she would most likely be strongest as a dealer with Milo.
After she walked over, she asked, "What are your names and abilities?" only her tone seemed as if she was degrading the rest of the group.
Milo's fuse was at its limit already, not only did she walk into the group and act like she was the only useful member, but she also didn't know their names even though they had been classmates for a few months.
After introducing themselves and abilities, Milo spoke up, "We already have a plan that was set before you joined and we'll work you into it, I think that it'd be best if you acted as a dealer like me," she nodded in agreement.
"As far as things go the only ones I see being useful are you and the kid with the barriers, but I don't see how his ability," she said while gesturing at Zach, "and the teleporting are going to be useful."
Milo went on to explain that Zach was very strong with the weapon he trained in, and Chloe would be acting as a ranged support using her crossbow. By teleporting around, she could pop shots at opponents from different angles while also avoiding being hit.
Maria rolled her eyes and said, "whatever, just don't get in my way."
After some more talk about strategy the group was guided to a building near the association and when walking through, they could see many strange contraptions, all seemed to be supporting a strange glowing circle, all of which were colored green and seemed to be pulsing. Above each were the names of major cities around the world.
After making their way to the one labeled "London," Marco informed them that these were teleporters invented by Dr. Francis Zeurich using information found when researching gates. They acted as miniature gates that connected two locations, in this case the small gate in front of them would lead them to London's GAA branch.
When stepping through, Milo could only describe the sensation as uncomfortable, it didn't hurt but was definitely not pleasant. After stepping out into the building they were guided to the entrance of the gate which was located in a construction zone on the outskirts of the city, because of the gate, construction had halted.
The gate was about the size of an elephant and was blue in color, but they were assured that the size of the gate didn't determine how hard the gate would be to clear, color was the only way to determine besides an accurate measure using a magic power recording device. Marco then handed out a uniform that would give them a bit more protection in the gate compared to their normal school clothes, after putting them on the group was as ready as they could be, Milo and the rest of the group tightened the grip on their weapons before stepping into the gate before them.
