Dustin's hateful feelings nearly exploded when he saw Rose still in Evan's arms. His patience was almost gone. But, he tried to contain his anger, not wanting Rose to hate him even more.
"Rose, is this man said true?"
Rose was still shocked by Evan's words. Just a moment ago, Evan said he is her future husband?
Gosh!
This man is so fast, huh! He is very similar to her mother, who has claimed Evan as her son-in-law. She could only laugh in her heart while looking at Dustin, staring at her sharply.
"Yes! Evan Collins is my future husband." Rose said loudly and confidently.
"That's why I said earlier I can't accept your Love. Dustin, you better go now and…." Rose clenched her fists tightly, holding back her emotions, "In the future, if you see me, please ignore me and never contact me again. I will never accept your call or reply to your message!"
Dustin is dazed, hearing how savage Rose's words are. He still couldn't believe all this had happened to him. And it happened so fast. The woman who had a crush on him suddenly stopped liking him, and now she was in another man's arms.
How could he accept this blow?
No matter how much he wanted Rose to come back to him. He couldn't do that now. He could see how serious Rose was with what she said.
"Rose… I know that right now you are very angry with me. But, I hope you think carefully about your choice. I will wait for you..." Dustin took a deep sigh while holding his anger. "And, I can't promise you, I will never contact or ignore you. We have been close friends since high school. How could I do that to you?" His sour expression could express how angry he is now.
Rose was speechless with Dustin's shamelessness. She could only curse him in her heart.
"Evan, Let's go… mother will be home soon." Rose ignored Dustin and pulled Evan into the house.
"Wow! You brought flowers and cake?" Rose was surprised to see a bouquet of white carnations and cake. She helped Evan bring the cake, and they both entered her house without glancing at Dustin. Rose could sense that Dustin was staring blankly but sinisterly at them.
"ROSE! I won't give up on you!" Dustin screamed in agony and rage. Then, with a sullen expression, Dustin left Rose's house. In Dustin's mind, he vows to come back again to pursue Rose until she accepts him or no one can have her.
Meanwhile, as soon as Evan entered the house, he immediately followed Rose into the spacious open space. A family room with a huge white sofa connected to a dining area and a minimalist kitchen. The open space area was quite big and bright because almost all sides of the room were only closed by a large French window that led to the garden outside.
It felt like he was not on the third floor because Rose's house is surrounded by a terrace garden with a unique design to hide their house from the tall buildings surrounding the house.
He likes the modern interior design of Rose's house. Because, even though the house is modern, it doesn't feel stiff with some fresh flowers in the beautiful crystal vase in several spots. He also saw the paintings of flowers hanging on some white walls.
And when his eyes saw several photos of Rose and her Mother on display cabinets, he smiled. All of Rose and her mother's photos look so beautiful. What's more, there is an old picture of Rose when she was a toddler. There was also a picture of Rose when she was a teenager. Both look adorable.
"Evan… Why do you bring flowers and cake?" Rose asks while placing the cake on the kitchen island. Evan also follows her to the kitchen and puts the flower.
"This flower for your mom..."
Rose was stunned. When Evan asked her about her mother's favorite flower, she thought he was just casually asking. But now Rose could see how he really meant what he said. And bought her mother's favorite White Carnation.
"What about me? Didn't I get flowers too?" Rose looked at Evan, who was now standing by her side. She pouted on purpose to tease him.
"I bring you cake…don't you like cake more than flowers?"
"Yeah! But I feel jealous of my mother… she got a beautiful flower from a handsome young man."
Evan chuckled as he watched his girlfriend pouting. She looked so adorable and made him want to kiss her small cherry lips.
"Gorgeous…I will buy you the florist store if you ask me to. How about that?" Evan asked as the two of them sat on the sofa.
Rose's eyes delight, looking at Evan, "Are you serious!"
"I am. I feel like I have known you for a thousand years, Rose! So I could confidently guess that you, Love, are more interested in the Florist Shop than buying flowers. Am I right?"
"Hahaha, you're absolutely right! I don't really like romantic things like that. It's just a waste of money. Better give me the Florist shop at a strategic location with a strong internet presence, and I will triple your money…." Evan stroked the top of her hair because he couldn't resist her cuteness.
As they talked, they didn't notice that Molly had returned.
Molly just stood in the entrance, smiled, looking at her baby daughter, and Evan teased each other.
"Son-in-Law, are you coming?"
Molly's voice made Evan and Rose startled. The two of them quickly stood up and looked at her.
"Aunty..." Evan greeted Molly. When he saw her bring so many bags in her hand, he immediately walked fast and took them all. "Let me carry for you, Auntie…."
Rose and Molly feel pleased with Evan's quick reaction.
"Future Son-In-Law, thank you…." Molly liked Evan even more. As a young man, he had great respect for elders. His demeanor and manner of speaking were different from the young people his age she had known.
