Zeno was still trying to fight the remaining golems. While Ilmar, who had also been freed, was also fighting vigorously.
Pan ran towards the ruins, the place where Logan and the dozens of golems had previously stood.
Pan sat on her knees, her face lowered, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Logan… No… Logan… I'm sorry…."
Zeno and the other elves managed to kill the rest of the golem. They walked over to Pan, who looked sad, but then stopped when they realized something.
Logan was standing right in front of Pan. His body was covered in so much dust that it turned him white like a human-shaped golem.
Logan tapped Pan's hair, stroking it gently.
"Hey, I'm here..."
Pan looked up, immediately stood up, and patted Logan on the chest.
"Don't do such a dangerous thing again. Promise me! You can't sacrifice your life for us! We are nobody to you."
Pan approached Logan and pressed her tear-soaked face into the boy's chest, still sobbing.
Logan laughed at Pan's act, then turned to the other Elves, giving them a thumbs up.
"Good job, team."
Zeno walked over, stood quite close, and then replied to Logan with a smile.
"You took my position as soon as the first battle came upon us."
"No, no, without you guys distracting them, I wouldn't be able to do all this."
Pan stepped back, observing Logan's body, ensuring he wasn't hurt. Then smiled, knowing the young man was okay.
"How did you escape from the ruins earlier?"
"I have a certain trick. You don't need to know." Logan winked at Pan.
Among the elves, only Rania seemed immobile from her position. Logan immediately realized that something was wrong, and the Elven woman fell to the ground.
Everyone noticed and quickly approached the woman.
Rania's right leg looks crushed. She was in a condition that would make it difficult for her to move or walk.
"Rania.."
"I'm ok, Pan..."
"No, you are not…."
Zeno immediately picked her up. They walked to a fairly covered place, laying the woman down on the ground.
Pan, who also followed, immediately knelt near Rania, bringing her hands close to the woman's legs. Green-colored energy immediately wrapped around Rania's legs.
Pan took a long time to heal Rania's leg. During the waiting time, the other 3 people remained on standby in case another attack came.
Time passed, and now the sun was setting, signaling that their battle for the day had ended. Golems are indeed more passive at night, but they tend to gather at one point, so fighting them at night was not an excellent choice.
When night fell, they built two tents and a fire camp. This was relatively safe to do, as long as they stayed alert if an attack from another monster that was not a Golem suddenly came.
Rania and Pan were resting inside the tent. Pan seemed to have exhausted her energy after fighting and healing Rania's wounds.
Pan does not have a class that focuses on healing but rather a class with protective skills. Therefore, she was not very good at healing other people. It takes her longer and more energy to do so.
Dungeons are a dimension separate from their world, where monsters gather and are confined to the outside world. The concept of a dungeon in the story that Ka Hyun-Su wrote was a place that was connected to the main world but had no world of its own. Thus, it was more similar to dimensional pieces.
The Dungeon has three separate areas, each guarded by one or two bosses. In each area, one had to defeat the Boss to get the rewards and completely seal off the dungeon from the outside world.
One doesn't actually need to kill all the monsters in one area to go to the next area. They just need to kill the Boss. But of course, it will be tough if, in a fight against the Boss, there are other monsters in the area, which could come and mess up the fight. Therefore, they decided to finish off all the little monsters first before facing the king of the dungeon.
"Zeno, Ilmar…"
"Yes, is there something you want to say?"
Logan, Zeno, and Ilmar were each sitting in front of the fire camp. They had just finished their dinner. And now it was almost midnight.
"I have to go away for a bit, to get around. And look for the whereabouts of the boss' room."
"I have already found the Boss Room location."
A woman's voice answered. The three turned towards the tent where Rania and Pan were sleeping. The tent opened, and Rania showed herself.
"But I can't figure out what kind of monster is inside yet."
Rania pointed in one direction. Logan immediately understood that it was the direction of the boss room. Logan nodded his head.
"Are you sure, Logan?"
"Don't worry, Stalker is a class designed to fight at night. "
Logan answered Zeno's question, who seemed to be worried about what he was trying to do.
Logan immediately left the place, trying to run through the rubble. Occasionally, jumping and running horizontally. If he reached one corner, he would throw the dagger he was holding and then jump to another step.
"Status Window"
[Name: Logan Evans]
[Tier: 3]
[Class: D Grade Stalker Lv. 2]
[Class: SSS Grade Soul Emperor Lv. 3]
[Strength: 29]
[Dexterity: 50]
[Intelligence: 118]
[Constitution: 18]
[Charisma: 39]
[Luck: 18]
[Available Status Points: 38]
Logan frowned. He felt his Luck status had changed, but he didn't remember it correctly and soon forgot about it.
"Ok, spend all the status points I have on Dexterity."
After the fight, Logan did the night after fighting Baneth, and killing dozens of Golems. Logan only had an additional 38 status points. It's still very far for him to unlock the next skill of Stalker.
Status Points are earned from killing monsters of the same or higher tier. The higher a person's status points in one tier, the more difficult it will be for them to get additional status points. That's why Logan could quickly get status points before, but not this time.
"Show me the Soul Collector Progress."
[Soul Collector Lv. 1 1/2]
[1. Little Golem Core Progress 47%]
One advantage of Logan's class is that, even though he encounters monsters like Golems that don't leave a Monster Core after they die, it works differently for him. After killing enough of them, Logan can get a Golem Monster Core with Soul Collector when the progress reaches 100%.
With the Golem Monster Core, Logan can create his own Golem. But even if it were Golems, it was useless if he had Golems, but he couldn't control them.
Logan was in the Golem Dungeon, where Golems that are pretty rare will be easily found in this place. It would be very profitable if he could take one of them home.
To control a Golem, it takes a particular class or skill. So having access to their Monster Cores this time seemed a waste to Logan if, in the end, he didn't have control over them and attacked back instead.
Logan took quite a while to arrive at a point where he could clearly see a temple as tall as a 10-story building whose size didn't look normal to a human.
There weren't many golems guarding the outside, but Logan was sure that the room was where the Boss was. Also, a place where a portal can take them to the second area.
