Logan jumped and landed on the temple wall upside down. The rocky layer was dark and covered in moss.
Logan crept down toward the large door leading to the inside of the crumbling building.
The leather coat Logan was wearing fell off, hungover, and covered his head.
"Ah shit, it's really absurd."
The coat he was wearing only stuck in his arms. Then he pulled the hook, which then looped around his stomach, making the coat no longer interfere with his movement.
Logan tried to move as calmly as possible, trying not to make the slightest sound that might wake any monsters that were near him.
The Spider-Sense that Logan had was enough to ascertain his safety.
Logan crept into the room inside. He then sneaked across the ceiling in the middle of the night.
In the deepest part of the temple, Logan saw a little light. The moonlight penetrated the cracks in the temple wall. Logan continued to creep, still very slowly, trying not to make the slightest mistake.
Just when Logan reached a large room that could fit hundreds of people, he saw a significant figure crouched on the floor. A rocky figure with the shape of a wolf. The stone wolf, whose body was covered with vines and moss, was about 3 meters tall if it stood up.
[Elite Forest Wolf Golem Tier 4]
Logan gulped, realizing what kind of terrible boss they had to face in this first area. Logan's body suddenly trembled as he felt a sudden pressure attack him. With no delay, Logan crawled back, trying to get out of that place. This time more slowly and carefully.
A few minutes later, Logan was back on his feet at the top of the temple, collapsed on his knees in the moonlight, breathless.
"I really feel useless."
The opponents they had to face were far from their tier. Coupling with Logan's abilities, which did not match the opponents they were facing.
"How do I get out of this place?"
Logan felt that his condition would have been better if he chose a class that could utilize an enormous weapon like Zeno's. Logan thought about some of the possible things he could have done if he had decided on a different class other than Soul Emperor.
Logan shook his head. Feeling that what he had decided and done was the best thing he could do right now.
Logan no longer procrastinated and immediately left the place. He ran and jumped with a feeling of horror still nestled in his heart.
Logan made a slight misstep and fell while trying to land on the last tree branch he jumped on.
Logan fell to the ground. He suddenly felt a threatening feeling, which he felt from his Spider-Sense.
Logan immediately stood up and scanned the surroundings for any movements. Three golem figures of the same size as before but with different shapes were sleeping.
The golem's eyes opened, revealing a pair of fiery red stones in the darkness. The golems immediately woke up and responded to what was happening near them.
[Little Clay Golem Tier 4]
They are Golems that can shoot parts of their bodies at targets, instantly hardening and locking their opponent's movements.
The Clay Golem was a golem with crowd control ability, like the one Logan and the party had previously fought, but this golem was a ranged attack type. It would be a challenge for Logan to face an opponent like this.
Logan quickly vanished, jumping back between the trees. He ran very fast without even looking back.
Logan ran in the opposite direction from where they were camping for tonight. He was trying to avoid the possibility of the golems chasing him to where the rest of the party rested.
After running for a few minutes, Logan no longer felt the threat he had before. Then he, too, immediately returned to the camp. He has had enough of the horrors for the night.
Logan landed on the ground and walked over to the fire camp, gasping for air. There was someone sitting there, leaning her body against a large rock.
Logan sat not far from the girl, Pan. She seemed to have recovered from the fatigue she had experienced earlier. Perhaps for that reason also, she demanded a shift for the rest of the night.
"Logan?"
Pan turned to Logan, noticing the young man's arrival. Under the moonlight and the flames in front of the two of them, Logan could clearly see a few drops of water clinging to the girl's cheeks.
"Hey..."
Logan noticed that Pan's face was pale and had lost its light. Maybe he had come at the wrong time when she needed some solitude?
"You should sleep. We need enough manpower for tomorrow's battle."
Pan forced her lips to smile, although her eyes still looked sad when staring at Logan, who no longer looked as panicked as he had been a while ago.
Pan lowered her head, resting her face on her knees.
"I have the highest status points in this party. But I feel so useless."
In Logan's eyes, it was obvious that Pan was in a downstate. Logan sat over and grabbed Pan's shoulder, patting her. Just like the people of Deadbay did when he failed to defeat Baneth, the Princess of Beris.
"Without you, there would be more wounded today."
"I wish I could have done more…."
The sadness that followed was clearly visible in Pan's words. She lifted her head and rubbed her eyes with her palms, trying to wipe away the tears she could no longer hold back.
"We can get through this. We just need to believe. The possibility definitely exists."
Pan looked at Logan's face. Her lovely, beautiful face now looked miserable because of the worry she was feeling.
"I'm sorry, Logan. If only I didn't accept your request to join this expedition. You definitely wouldn't be in this place, stuck with us."
Logan shook his head and grabbed Pan's face, wiping the tears off her face.
"I asked you to include me. And I don't regret it in the slightest."
Pan shook her head.
"But…"
"No. Right now, we are bound to the same destiny. The only way out of this is…."
Logan stopped his words, still looking at Pan, who seemed to be silent, listening to his words.
"By trusting each other and doing our best."
Pan closed her eyes, then nodded her head slowly. Tears no longer seemed to flow from her eyes, and she also started to look calm with hands that didn't seem to be shaking like before.
"You have done quite well, very well. Keep it up, ok Pan?"
Logan smiled and withdrew his hand, turning to look at the fire that was blazing in front of him. Realizing the fear that Pan was experiencing. Now he could think a little more clearly.
Everyone must be experiencing the same worries, but their condition will only worsen if they couldn't think calmly.
Logan had to stay calm. He had to remember that he was the one who designed everything in this world. Every strength has a weakness. He just needs to be careful and look for every possibility.
Logan felt the exhaustion build up inside of him. He closed his eyes and plopped down on the person's lap next to him without him noticing.
The girl caressed Logan's face, grateful that at least there were still people who could remain optimistic in this position.
"I hope at least you can escape from this place, Logan."
