Chapter 13 - Is it the time already?

A luxurious bed, gold-plated ceiling, white marble floor, tables, chairs, wardrobes all look luxurious and spoil the eye. As people call it, the Princess Chamber, a room occupied by a princess of the kingdom of Vensalor, the Kingdom of Elves.

A 19-year-old looking girl sat in front of the dressing table, Vanya Zylven. The elves knew her as a princess who always looked elegant in her appearance. But not this time. Thigh-length leather shoes, leather shorts, a green sleeveless dress, and a robe covered her silky green hair.

Vanya observed her reflection in the mirror, feeling tremendous, and smiled. Today was a big day for her; for the first time, her father, Neldor Zylven, the King of the Vensalor Kingdom, allowed her to travel out of the Island of Elves to explore the human world.

Vanya had bright green eyes like emerald gems. Her thin face shape, perfect sharp nose, and thin lips make her deserve to be crowned as the most beautiful girl in the universe. Anyone would be speechless watching the beauty they might not see every time.

"Vanya…"

Someone called her name from outside the room, which she recognized as her father's voice.

"Yeah father…"

Vanya stood up, smiled, shrugged her shoulders, ran, opened the door, and found her father waiting.

Neldor Zylven was an elven man who looked 70 years old, even though he was actually over 400 years old. Elves can indeed live longer than other races. Their physical growth slowed down when they reach adulthood.

"Ho ho ho, you are so beautiful. And do you think this kind of disguise can hide the real identity of yours?"

Neldor, who was almost twice Vanya's height, was standing with his white hair running down his back. His clothes were white and gold-colored armor covering the arms and chest. Also, a shining golden crown was set majestically on his head.

Vanya tidied up her appearance, hiding her hair, which she had folded under her robe. She had hair that, if untied, would sweep the floor because of its length.

Neldor touched his daughter's hair, and something happened. Vanya's hair color changed to blonde like most elf hair colors. Also, the length of her hair had been drastically cut, only remaining along her back.

Vanya touched her new hair appearance, lifted the robe over her head, and smiled at her father.

"Let's go…."

Neldor offered his hand, welcomed by Vanya, embracing her father's right arm.

They walked through a hallway with white walls and gold trim that looked majestic and immaculate.

"Do you have something on your mind to do on the outside?"

Vanya nodded at her father's question.

"I want to know more about humans and try to develop my abilities."

"I hope you are careful to not easily trust anyone."

Neldor swallowed hard, keeping a calm expression on his face. He didn't want his way of thinking to affect his daughter's development, the sole heir of the Vensalor Kingdom.

"Don't worry, father, I'm not that innocent to be taken easily by people."

"That's the problem, actually."

Neldor understood so far that Vanya was a soft-hearted girl; she was not one to show the slightest assertiveness in her actions.

Neldor was grateful for one because Elf would have a leader who led with a heart and kindness, but at the same time worried him, considering that in this cruel world, heart alone is not enough. Sometimes a person needs violence to stay afloat and stand up.

"Eventually, I will be in your position, so it would be best if I prepare before that time comes, right?"

Vanya walked on tiptoes to match her father's footsteps. She looked up with a smile at her father's face.

"Don't worry, father, I'll go with Elincia, ok, even though I asked you to let me travel by myself."

Vanya's expression changed to a frown. Even though her father gave her permission to go to the human world, still an Elf General had to go with her.

"Let her guide you."

Vanya nodded her head, walking on until they reached the castle grounds.

A large flower garden greeted them. A young woman and a few elves waiting for them bowed their heads to welcome the King and his daughter.

"Hi, Elincia."

Vanya smiled and waved, then jogged over to Elincia. An elf woman looked in her 20s, with shoulder-length soft pink hair in a dark brown leather dress.

"Good morning, your Majesty. Hi, Princess, "

Elincia was the fifth General of the total of five owned by the Elf Kingdom; she was, of course, the sixth strongest person in the Vensalor Kingdom. Someone who could single-handedly destroy a small kingdom, some kingdom like Beris.

"I won't give you any command. Follow her wish as long as you can guarantee it will be safe."

"Understood, your Majesty. I'll never let something bad happen to the princess."

Vanya grabbed Elincia's arm, then dragged her away from the King's sight.

"Come on, you don't want to hear my father's formal words for too long, do you?"

Elincia bowed her head to the King and immediately followed where Vanya walked.

"You look so beautiful even with the new hair you got there, princess."

Elincia looked at Vanya's new appearance with a straight face. The praise she conveyed didn't show at all in her facial expression.

"Don't tell me. I know you are proud of your own beauty, right? Come, I can't wait anymore for my adventure in the human world."

Vanya giggled, jogging along with the flower garden in the castle's courtyard. A carriage drawn by horses with white fur as bright as snow awaited them. It took some time, of course, for them to get to the edge of the island and then continue the ship's journey.

King Neldor was still standing, smiling as he watched his daughter leave. Someone walked over from behind, then lowered his head.

"Zoron, how about the clarification of the news that circulated lately?"

"It might be good or bad, I'm not sure. But that issue is confirmed."

A man, an elf with dark blond hair, a red cape, and a suit of armor covering his body. Zoron, the Vensalor Kingdom's first general and the second strongest Elf after the King.

The news they were talking about was about the death of the Demon General and some of the high-tier demons they possessed.

This news was essential for the world. Considering that the demons are also the ones who have always been the most challenging obstacle on the front line.

"The World, is it the time already?"
