Chapter 11 - The Second Class

"What?? How do you know about that class?"

The round glasses Nether was wearing fell down, only covering half of his eyes. His mouth was agape.

"How many years do I need to wait? Make it fast. I don't have enough time."

Nether lowered his head, walked around, and seemed silent in his thoughts.

A few minutes later, he held his pace, lifting his head. Did he find a way out of what he was thinking already?

"Give me a second. I'll be back."

As if swallowed by the air, Nether's body vanished from the spot, leaving an empty space as if no one had been there before.

'Could it be that he went to see another God? Or is he trying to find out my identity? Is Zyl one of them too? Even though that boy God isn't among the names of the six, or maybe he really is one of them, he might use a pseudonym.'

Too many questions ran through Logan's head, though he tried his best to ignore them at the moment. And about Zyltic, he may be one of the six gods, for example, by changing his identity.

Logan walked for a moment and approached the nearest bookshelf. He was a little curious about all the books in this place.

What kind of information was written in all those books? Is it all about anything that exists in this world? Does that also mean something that Logan doesn't know yet?

He reached for the first book he could get on the Tier 5 Monster shelf. The book had the title 'Darkling,' which Logan knew was coming from the Fey race.

Logan flipped through a few pages. He found information about their appearance, where they lived, what kind of ability they had, and everything about the creature's detail.

The corners of Logan's lips lifted relatively high.

However, what was displayed in the book had more detailed information. Even small things that Ka Hyun-Su didn't think about beforehand. It seems Zyltic didn't raw copy the works he made.

'Not bad. At least there was an extra effort they put in.'

This was a world from a story he created, but the details were genuinely excellent. It was no wonder Zyltic worked hard enough to make this world run the way he wanted.

'Then, if he wanted a different storyline, why didn't he choose a different story instead of mine?'

Logan wondered if there could be another world that came from the stories he had read or watched. For example, the future world, where all wishes can be realized with a magic pocket?

"Sorry."

Logan held his reverie, turned around, and found that Nether was already back.

"Sorry, I needed to make you wait."

"How was the discussion?"

"Pretty hard, but most of us were quite interested, and they accepted your request."

"Huh?"

Logan should have been happy but knowing his selfish wish had been granted so easily made him rethink his decision.

While the gods considered what he asked for as something interesting, he wanted to do something against their will.

'But, it's okay. Gods or anyone can't control me. I'm not that stupid.'

Logan smiled, confident that what he had planned would not be disturbed by anyone's decision. Even if it is a God.

"Good, now give it to me."

Nether was holding a book, which was purple with gold writing on the cover.

"Do you know this class is difficult to handle? The minuses are many compared to the positives."

"I'm sure enough. I can handle it."

Logan reached out his hand. He wanted to get out of there immediately. There wasn't much information he could get here, so going directly and rushing to do something else he wanted to do would certainly be better.

"I mean, it would be a waste if a talent like you had to rush to death for choosing the wrong class."

What Nether was saying was the consequence of using the Soul Emperor Class. There was a rule in one of the user's abilities to pay for what he did with his life span.

"I have another offer for you. It will be easier for you to be the strongest in the world with this class."

"No. Not Interested. Give it to me, now!"

Logan stepped forward, trying to reach the book in Nether's hand, but Nether also stepped back, still defending what he was trying to fight for.

"Necromancy, Dracomancy, Geomancy, Pyromancy, Dark Magic…"

"No! Give it to me, now!."

"Time Emperor? You can control time and space."

The God in front of him was wasting his time. He tried to grab the book by force. Logan grabbed the book with his right hand, but Nether evaded; Logan jumped forward and threw his left hand, but his efforts were in vain.

"Army of the Dead? You can create an army of the strongest. It might be interesting, isn't it?"

"No!"

"Harem Lord? You can dominate any woman you meet."

Logan hesitated for a moment. If he wanted to live life calmly and sufficiently have fun in this place, that offer wasn't bad either. But-

"No! Not now!"

Nether surrendered. With a disappointed face, he held out the book to Logan.

Logan immediately grabbed it, pulling the book away, but Nether didn't let go of his grip.

"Pleeeease! My God..."

Nether nodded his head and finally released the book.

Logan turned around and immediately left Nether rooted in his position.

'Now, what is next?'

"Please come to me if you change your mind midway."

Logan closed his eyes, Nether's voice lost in the darkness.

Logan stood again on the temple floor, opening his eyes when the noise in that room forced its way into his ears.

The surrounding people seemed interested in his presence. They were paying attention to Logan's status, which displayed the grade of the Class he had.

The book he held has vanished, replaced with new information on the status window.

'Ah, I should have taken the lower one first.'

The system had a setting to display only one of the adventurer's classes. It also applied to those with many classes, considering that few have over one.

Having a high-grade class was proud and cool looking, but Logan didn't want anyone to know about his class when he was still weak in his current state.

Logan immediately thought about the right combination for the Class he currently had. The other class he got was grade D, and he had to choose from three different paths except for Intelligence.

Logan had a balanced score between Strength and Dexterity. The path he wanted to take wasn't something that required him to fight vigorously with his opponent. Having the ability to finish his opponents and quickly run away when he finds a danger will be more helpful.

'Okay, I've decided.'

Logan walked in front of the statue of a man wielding two daggers. He nodded his head, and his body again vanished from that space.
