Agatha was walking inside Zeus's building while carrying a bag of food. After what happened to them last day, she realizes winning the young man's heart is the right way to start. She stopped in front of the elevator door while her smile wouldn't leave her face; she was in a good mood today, which was an excellent start to tame her husband.
When the elevator door, she quickly went inside and waited for it to reach the floor where Zeus's office was. While patiently waiting, her phone rang, and her mother's name flashed on the screen. She immediately answers it and greets her mother with so much joy in her voice.
[I can sense you in a good mood today, what happened?] Mildred asked her.
"Nothing. I just woke up like this, and I don't want to ruin this day."
[Really? I know you, Agatha. besides, I'm still looking forward to your visit, you know I already miss you, my only princess.]
She smiled even though her mother wouldn't see it, "I know, mom, don't worry. I'll visit next time."
[Promise?]
She chuckled, "Yes, I promise."
*ting*
When the elevator door opened, Agatha went outside and continued her tracks while on the phone. She admits that she lost a little time with her mom, but she never forgets to ask about Mildred's condition because she's the only family she has for now.
"I'll visit you, I promise."
Mildred sighed in the other line, [Alright, I understand you have a duty to take care of your husband, but I want to remind you. You still have a mother to visit."
"Yes, mom, I know, and I'll never forget about it."
[Okay, I have to go. My nurse is already here to give me a shot. I love you, my baby...]
"I love you too, mom."
After the call ended, she continued her tracks to Zeus's office and stopped in front of the door before taking a deep breath and opening the door, but instead of Zeus, she found the person she didn't expect to see inside of her husband's office.
"Adeline," She murmured.
Adeline sat comfortably in Zeus's chair while reading a magazine, and Agatha started irritating to see how comfortable she was. Still, she enters the room full of confidence to show the young lady that she's the place's owner even though it's not.
Adeline put down the magazine she was reading and smirked, "Well, well, well, looks who's here."
"What are you doing here?" She asked directly.
"Me? I think we have a little misunderstanding here, Agatha. I'm supposed to be the one who needs to ask you that question."
"What are you doing here? Did Zeus ask about your presence, or do you appear because you want something from him?" Adeline added.
Agatha furrowed and didn't move in her standing position and said, "I'm here because I am Zeus's wife. How about you? What are you doing here in my husband's office."
Adeline laughed and clapped her hands before standing and slowly approaching her. She can't control herself from laughing because Agatha seems to tell her a joke.
"Husband? When did you become so desperate? We both know that you are a paid wife, and Zeus did that to stop our wedding, so stop fantasizing as if he's going to love you!"
Agatha grins, "First of all, I am the real wife here while you? You're just a girl who wanted to take what is already mine but sorry, dear. I won't let you steal him from me. Never."
"It's not my fault if Zeus chooses me against you because maybe he finds me more attractive than you are, Adeline."
Adeline clenched her fist and tightened her jaw, she was affected by what she said, and it caused a fit of massive anger in her wolf. She calmed herself and took a deep breath because she didn't want her hands would be stained with blood.
She flashed an insulting smile and looked at Agatha from head to toe before getting closer to her and stopping a few kilometers away from the young lady.
"Are you looking for Zeus? I'm sorry, but he's busy right now, and it looks like he won't be able to give you time. What a pity."
Agatha chuckled softly, "Do you feel sorry for me? That seems new but shouldn't I feel sorry for you because you're chasing the man who didn't love you."
"You! How dare you!" She yelled.
"No! How dare you. How dare you enter the place where you do not belong? You are not welcome here anymore, Adeline, so will you please leave this office at once."
"Remember this day, Agatha, because, after this, you'll never talk to me like that! Let's see if you can act bravely before me after this," She said.
Adeline smirked, "I have the most important person in your life, Agatha, and his life is in your hands..."
That's all that she said before grabbing her bag and leaving the office immediately; however, Agatha was left behind dumbfounded. She became curious about what Adeline was trying to say until a call disturbed her deep thoughts.
She immediately answered the call without even knowing who the caller was because she thought it was Zeus, but to her surprise, it wasn't him.
[Good day, Agatha,] The young man said from the other line.
"Who are you? Where did you get my number?"
[It's not essential how did I get your number because what important is, you have to see me, Agatha.]
"And why would I do that? I don't even know you, and I'm not that stupid to follow you."
He laughed, [You're wise, but you'll follow me whether you like it or not because one of the most crucial person in your life is in my possession.]
"Look, whoever you are. I am not in the mood to do pranks with you, okay? Besides, I don't have money, so you can't take anything from me."
[I have your dad.]
She froze in her position after suddenly hearing what the caller said, but Agatha was not convinced because maybe it was one of the caller's ways to get some money from her.
But when a familiar voice shouted from the background, Agatha knew the caller wasn't making any pranks on her. She covered her mouth in shock and almost fell to the floor because of the fear she was feeling.
"W-who are you..." She asked.
[So, are you believing me now?]
"What do you want from me,"
[Nothing but my friend has, and I want you to meet me,]
Her tears started to fall, stopping herself from making any noise, "W-what do you want? Y-you want m-money? I'll g-give it to you... Just don't hurt my father."
[How sweet you are for being a daughter but no. I don't need your money. In fact, I need your presence.]
[Your dad's life is in your hands, Agatha, and if you didn't follow what I told you, you'd see him dead and lifeless...]
"No! Please! I'll do everything you asked me to do. Just don't hurt him!!"
[What a good girl...]
"Please... Don't hurt him," She cried.
Agatha's hands are shivering to death, and she can also feel how terrified she was for her father's life. She never thinks her father will use against her and, worst, threaten her, but she's still thinking about who is behind this.
[Everything is going to be alright, Agatha, unless you'll disobey me and choose not to save your father.]
She exhaled deeply and said, "What d-do you want me to d-do?"
[I want you to come with my friend peacefully.]
"Whose friend?" She asked, confused.
She heard the young man from the other line smirk, and after that, someone put a knife behind her. Agatha slowly put down the phone and gulped because someone was behind her, and worst it had a weapon.
"I told you, Agatha, I'll never let you talk to me like that again..."
Agatha's eyes widened after knowing who was behind her and said, "A-Adeline..."
"Yes, dear, I am Adeline. The wolf princess and I won't let you take what is rightfully mine."
"A-Adeline, don't d-do this..."
Adeline grinds and moves the knife closer to her, "It's too late, Agatha. If you didn't treat me like that, we'd never end up like this."
"This is n-not right, Adeline."
"Nothing is right, and seeing you happy on my man's side annoyed me a lot, so I need to remove you from his life!"
Agatha looked at her phone that was already on the floor, the call is already ended, and she knew that caller was Adeline's ally. All this time, her life was in danger, and she didn't expect a rude, arrogant like Adeline would be the one who did it.
"If you don't interfere in our life, maybe Zeus still wanted to marry me, but you came into the picture and stole him from me... So I let you feel the pain I felt."
"Say goodbye to your husband, Agatha."
After saying those words, Adeline put a handkerchief in her nose, which Agatha tried to remove, but suddenly her vision became blurry, and her body became weak. Later on, she could only hear voices inside the room, and everything went black.
