Zeus suddenly look outside of the huge window in his office because he thinks he heard something from outside, but he's not sure about it or his instinct are becoming sensitive these days.
"What's wrong Zeus?" Yohan asked him.
He turned his gaze to Yohan and continue what he was doing and said, "Nothing."
"Not that I'm interfering in your life but I notice that your mind seems to be busy these past few days, "Yohan said.
Zeus stopped reading the document when he heard that from the young man, he raised his head so that he and Yohan could see each other, causing the young man to look away.
Zeus was silent for a moment and seemed to think about what Yohan had said because he also noticed to himself that he seemed to be anxious these past few days. He feels something is missing in him and until now Zeus still feels that.
"I'm sorry if I asked you that, I'm just worried."
He clear his throat and said, "No worries, you made me realize that too."
Yohan smiles forcedly before averting his gaze because if he keeps asking their alpha, he might face the consequences of being a curious guy.
However, Zeus can read what is going on in Yohan's mind and it's bothering him since he can't focus on his paperwork. He set aside the bunch of documents before leaning in his swivel chair and looking at his pack member, Zeus knew Yohan has this attitude that he can't stop asking because of his toxic curiosity but to satisfy the young man's mind maybe he can share a little information about him.
"Okay," He sighed, "Do you want me to satisfy your curious mind?"
Yohan immediately turns around, "W-what? I'm n-not saying anything."
He raised his left eyebrow, "I wouldn't be asked you if I didn't hear your loud thoughts."
"And I'm making things clear, I am not paying attention to you Yohan your just overreacting."
Yohan rolled his eyes before sitting comfortably in his chair and said, "Then, will you tell me what is bothering you alpha?"
"Why are you so interested? Don't tell me Jacob asked you to gather some information about me and Agatha?"
"Actually, he's not."
He smirked, "So, your interested in me."
"What? No!"
He laughed, "Don't deny it."
"What the hell Zeus! I'm a guy and I don't like guys," Yohan defend himself.
"Who says you like guys? Did I tell you that or are you just thinking that way?"
Yohan became quiet and didn't say anything because if he continue opening his mouth, their alpha won't stop teasing him even though it was not right. While Zeus shook his head before turning his gaze to the documents laying on his table, he was about to grab them when his phone rang.
He grab it from his pocket and answer it without even knowing who is the caller because Zeus thought it was Agatha. A smile flashes on his lips as he remembers the young lady's name because after their first date they didn't see each other as if nothing happened.
"Let me guess, you miss me?" He teases the young lady.
[Is that how Agatha change you?]
Zeus' smile disappear after hearing those voices, he knew it wasn't the person he was expecting to call but he also knew who is behind that voice.
"Maverick," He replied and notice Yohan's gaze when he whispered that name.
Maverick gasped like he was surprised by what he heard, [Oh, you know me. I thought you didn't pay attention to gamma's like me?]
"What do you want, I don't have time to talk to you."
[I thought you change but I'm wrong. Well, Mr. Alpha why don't you ask me how's your luna?]
"What do you mean."
[Are you being serious right now? You know what, I can't break Agatha's loyalty so I reach you out myself.]
He felt the anger rising into his body and secretly clench his fist and said, "Don't play with me, Maverick."
Maverick laughed sarcastically, [I'm not playing with you. If you are not believing me then, hear your girl's scream.]
He listened carefully to the background and wait for what happened next, but his world almost collapsed after hearing Agatha's grunts.
[Zeus!!!] Agatha shouted from the other line.
"Agatha!"
[Don't come here! He wants to kill you, please listen to me!] She yelled desperately, [Please! Don't co---]
Zeus can hear Maverick's evil laugh from the background causing him to stand up violently, he can feel the anger of his wolf and it has the urge to kill someone for his mate.
"Fuck off, Maverick! Don't you dare hurt her!!" He angrily said.
[Sorry but I already did.]
He growls, "I swear! I'm going to kill you if you lay your hands on her!!"
[Oh, I'm sorry but I also did that too. You see, she has a gorgeous body and I can't help but touch it... If you do allow me maybe I can taste her too.]
"How dare you!!!"
[I'm holding your Luna's life Zeus, so if you didn't do what I want... You're going to see her lifeless.]
Zeus can imagine what face he's making right now and it making him erase that face of him. His anger will take over his body soon and he didn't want to kill his pack member so he has to make a deal with Maverick.
[Your Luna and her father are in my possession, so if you want them alive. Show yourself to me defenseless.]
"Remember this Maverick, if I saw any single bruises on Agatha's body I swear I'll let you feel the pain you gave to her!!"
[Well see about that.]
After saying those words, Maverick end the call causing Zeus to throw his phone on the wall and shattered it into pieces. He took a deep breath to calm himself because he can feel the anger of his wolf, Zeus can't do actions without a plan because Maverick is clever and he regret taking a traitor inside of his pack.
"Is that Maverick?" Yohan asked with concern in his voice.
"That f*cking asshole! I swear I'm going to kill him!"
"Calm down, it won't answer your problem."
He looks at him sharply, "How can I calm down if that asshole hurt my mate!!"
"I know that's why I'm telling you to calm down because if you didn't, your employees might cause a huge havoc in your office if they saw a large wolf."
Yohan sighed, "I know your concern but you have to calm down and think of a plan."
"Who says I'm concerned?"
"Uh, you?" Yohan looks at him confused, "Don't tell me your not."
"I am not!" He slammed the table so hard causing it to break into two.
"Okay!" Yohan raised his arms in surrender, "Take it, easy bro, I'm not your enemy."
Zeus averted his sharp gaze and clench his jaw because until now he can sense the anger raising into his body and he can't stop it. He has to find a way and think of a plan because Maverick might hurt Agatha and he knew his wolf wouldn't take it.
"We have to find where Maverick is hiding," He murmured.
"So, what's your plan?"
He glances at Yohan, "I don't know but I have to save Agatha and her father."
"Do you want me to call Jacob and the pack?"
"No, I want to face him alone because I want to show that asshole who is the real ruler and that's me."
Yohan on the other hand felt the desperation in their Alpha's voice. This is the first time he saw how furious Zeus's eyes and he's amazed to see it even though it's not necessary at this moment.
He set aside his thoughts and dialed his phone because Zeus wanted to face the intruder alone and he won't let their alpha face Maverick or else it might be the end of their pack.
"We have your back Zeus, so let us fight with you. Don't take all the problems with you, we are your pack and as a pack, we are responsible to help our alpha."
"I understand your concern but if I said I want to face him alone, I meant it."
He sighed in disbelief before glancing into his phone and seeing Jacob's message, he have to take action without even asking for their Alpha's permission because Yohan doing this for their sake. Yohan delete Jacob's text and put back his phone inside his pocket before looking at their alpha until now he can feel the bad aura lingering inside of the room and he knew it wasn't good.
However, Zeus breathes heavily because his anger keeps raising and he can't control it anymore for thinking that Maverick might be hurting his luna and he can't bear seeing Agatha in pain. He clench his fist too hard until his nails were deepened in his skin but Zeus endure the pain he felt and ignore the wound he made from himself.
'Wait for me Agatha, I swear to the moon goddess that I will save you no matter what it takes...' He said in his mind.
