Alan looked around; he saw his fiancée's being asked out to dance. But they kept refusing them, Alan wouldn't need newtons brains to understand what they wanted.

Daniel walked towards his daughter and asked Alice to dance with him, to which she agreed after glancing at Alan repeatedly.
She was desperate to dance with Alan but she couldn't reject her father who asked her to dance with him.
Lucy's father was dancing with her, she was looking at him the whole time she was dancing.
