"Ate where the hell are you? Nasa club ka na naman ba?" ika ng kapatid ko
"Ha? Hindi kita marinig. Wait I'll go to a quiet place" pasigaw na sabi ko
The night's just getting started and here am I getting bombarded by calls galing kay Melissa. Can't I atleast take a break from all of them? I mean nakakainis why would they suddenly barge in kung kelan ako nagsasaya? I'm so sick of their rants na para bang isa pa din akong teenager where in fact I already got my license as a psychologist.
"Now what?" I said in annoyance while I was talking to my sister over the phone
"Papa's looking for you" with just a sentence, parang nanginig ang buo kong sistema. Nothing scares me the most but my father, he's so strict that up until now controlled niya pa din kaming magkakapatid.
Dali-dali kong kinuha ang mga gamit ko sa loob ng club, ni hindi na nga ako nakapagpaalam sa mga kaibigan ko dahil I'm so terrified as hell. Tinanggal ko na lang din ang stilettos ko, wala na akong pakialam kung nakakawala ng class at pinagtitinginan ako ng tao. All I have in mind now is that I need to get my butt inside our house as soon as possible dahil baka katayin na ako ng ama ko.
I dumped my things sa passenger seat ng kotse ko and I'm even panicking while opening the door in the driver's seat. I turned on the engine and I hurriedly drive home. Mabuti na lang I'm still sobber and I can still go home on my own. Napamura na lang ako nang mapagtanto kong nangangamoy alak ako, my father will be fuming mad again pag nakita niya akong ganito ang ayos.
I was thinking of ways on how to answer my father given that he always interrogates us na para bang mga kriminal kami. Biglang tumunog ang cellphone ko at kunot noo kong dinampot ito mula sa makalat na compartment ng sasakyan ko. Bad timing naman, sino ba tung tumatawag.
"Mar, where are you? Bigla mo na lang kaming ghinost dito ha?" sabi ni Ynez isa sa mga kaibigan ko
"Sorry girls it's just an emergency" sagot ko naman at ini-off ang cellphone ko. My mind is too clouded, ni hindi na ako nakakapag-isip ng tama. My phone rang again and this time, it made me pissed.
"What? Diba sabi ko I have an emergency!" pasigaw na ani ko
"Hey it's me"
"Oh sorry Melly, I didn't mean to shout at you, akala ko kasi sina Ynez na naman ang tumawag" I replied
"Where are you? Papa's already looking for you for about an hour na. I'm running out of alibis to cover you up"
"I'm on my way. Just tell him that I'm still stuck on a traffic. I still need to stop by at a store, I need to change and clean my self up. I can't face him like this"
"You better hurry up sis, you know Papa will not buy that"
"I know, I know"
"You really are reckless you know? You should only have fun if Papa's in Europe. Ngayon pa talaga na isang kembot lang makakauwi kaagad siya? You're so tactless" pangangaral niya pa na as if ang galing galing niyang magtago kay Papa ng mga katarantaduhan eh lagi namang nahuhuli.
"Save your lectures later little sis, you're distracting me. Imbis na makapagdrive ako ng mabilis hindi na tuloy dahil dada ka ng dada" I said and I rolled my eyes na para bang kaharap ko siya
"Fine, I'll hang up now" she and ended the call
I noticed a small boutique nearby and thought that it can doom me out of this misery. Luckily they have a bathroom where I could change and clean my self up, but sad to say I had to discard my black Channel knitted dress dahil baka biglang iraid ni Papa ang sasakyan ko at makita pa ito. I know it sounds "sumusobra" but yeah my father do that most of the time.
After getting into a new clothe bumalik na ako sa sasakyan ko and I stepped the engine and made the car fly.
Paliko na ako papasok sa village namin when a blinding light made me lose my control sa sasakyan ko. It was too late to step on the break because I already clashed with another car. Parang nagkabali-bali ang buto ko but I managed to get out of the car. I looked at the other car and checked if the driver was fine.
I saw an unconscious man on the passenger seat and my gaze settled to his glorious face, wait glorious is an understatement. He looks like a Greek God from the Olympus. Oh what was I thinking? I have to help him out. Although masakit ang binti ko, I managed to pull him out of the car. Na alarma ako ng nakita kong umuusok ang sasakyan ng lalaki. It might explode dahil malakas ang impact nito kanina and it may have caused some mechanical issue sa sasakyan.
I checked the man's pulse and thanks God he's still alive. I immediately dialed 911 and reported the accident. It slipped my mind na kailangan ko palang umuwi. Pag dating ng rescue team, agad nilang nilapatan ng paunang lunas ang lalaki and they did the same to me too. Minor injuries lang naman ang natamo ko but I was adviced to go to the hospital to conduct a further examination baka daw kasi may bali ako or something else.
Nagulat na lang ako ng biglang dumating si Papa at Melissa while the doctor was running down some test in me.
"Good heavens what happened?" exclaimed Melissa
I told them the whole story except for the bar night-out thing of course and dad just listened and he nods as a reply. Melissa was obviously worried given that she asks me over and over if I'm alright.
"Rest now Margaux, you had a hell day" sabi ni papa
A few moments later, a nurse came inside my room and she injected something in my hand, probably a medicine to help me get through the swell all over my body. Pagkatapos niyang iturok ang medisina, namigat ang talukap ko, I surely had a hellish day.
