[Evelyn's angle]
When I got home, it was already the evening. The clouds on the horizon were orange-red, like a gorgeous piece of cloth that made people want to turn it into the most beautiful clothes.
On the way, I hummed a tune and my mood became even better as I recalled Liam's bitter expression. This was the first time I had seen him suffer in silence. It could be considered as taking revenge for how he had bullied me previously.
However, as soon as I pushed open the door, I realized that the atmosphere at home wasn't right.
"Mom, what happened?"
I looked at Mom, who was sitting on the couch, and asked in confusion. Mom looked exhausted. So did Dad. And Dylan was thinking about something else distractedly.
"Evelyn, I went to see Catherine with your dad today. She's fine. You don't have to worry."
"Hm? Was Catherine willing to see you?" Mom's words surprised me. Didn't Catherine say she didn't want us to visit her before?
