It was late night time now, just past eleven in the evening. Damien was in the middle of perusing through a report sent to him via email. Deciding it was time to rest, he stood up from his chair and stretched his arms and back.
With his heightened senses, the Harbinger noticed someone entering his mansion with dragging footsteps. There was no other person in Hell that held keys to his abode aside from the human girl. Damien immediately clicked his fingers and he vanished from his office, leaving the laptop on.
“What happened to you? You look like life was sucked out of you,” Damien said as Aisha returned from tagging along Cain for the whole day.
She was dragging her feet as she took one step at a time. There was a lifeless look in her eyes, like a soulless meat sack walking in zombie fashion. She stopped in her tracks when she heard Damien’s voice, raised her head to look at him and then… she just stared blankly.
“Lord Damien,” she uttered his name without energy.
