Sybil was crying so hard that she almost didn’t hear a voice on the other end of the hall say her name. Her head shot up in its direction, desperate to find the person the voice came from.
After all, it was a voice she would recognize anywhere. It was the voice that came through to her even when she was trapped in her darkness. It was the voice of the only person she wanted to see.
Tears clouded her eyes, so she quickly wiped them. From the floor where she was still on her hands and knees, Sybil looked up, and that is when she saw him.
“Andrius?” Sybil asked just barely above a whisper.
Standing on the other end of the hall was the man that Sybil was terrified that she had lost forever. He stood just as tall and confident as ever, his broad shoulders held high. But when he heard her say his name, his body sank into itself as he let out a gasp that was full of both relief and of shock.
