Jade had hit the sour spot because the expression on his face changed from arrogant to angry within seconds.
That stupid smirk was washed off his face and was replaced with red hot bubbling anger which made him seem like a red-colored fish.
"You don't know what you talk of," he seethed out and for a moment she could imagine steam coming out of his ears as it would do in an engine train.
"I don't?" she repeated but with a taunting undertone. "Then why don't you tell me what it is that I do not know of? Because as far as I know, you have been deemed incapable of carrying out the responsibilities your father does."
Finn's jaw clenched harder at her words. "I.." he gulped, "It is not easy."
She was getting near.
"Why not?" Her questions seemed innocent and out-of-plane curiosity. "How hard is it to protect the people that you live with?"
"As I said," he repeated, seething out the words, "it does not just stop there."
