Jade ate her food silently as she listened to their conversation. They had their suspicions but the majority of them were circling her master.
Thankfully, her master had sent her alone. Otherwise, if someone had got to know about her slip-up, she would have been severely punished. She should have not attacked when it was the time of celebration. It was evident that the security would have been increased for any possible threats.
She made a mistake.
"Here," Malfrid placed a small plate with two muffins on it, "I noticed last night that you have a particular liking for this."
A frown creased her forehead as she looked at muffins and then at him. He noticed what she was eating and liking last night?
“Do you want some more, Jade?” Malfrid gave her a worried look. “Is it not to your liking?”
Jade smiled and shook her head. “I think I am still a little sleepy, Malfrid, but I love this. Thank you."
