This voice irritated her. It was like stone smashing against stone and there was something in the middle of it that was being squished.
The sound of that churning gave her shivers and made her goosebumps more apparent.
Opening her eyes, turn her head to the side where a young girl had a set of stone mortar and pestle which was imitating the sound of churning.
"Stop that," Jade grumbled and halted the actions of the girl who whipped her head around in a hurry and stared at Jade with widened eyes.
"Y-You," she started before standing up and sitting the stone grinder over the table loudly, making Jade wince at the loud sound.
"Y-You... I ..should—" Without even completing her sentence, the girl darted to the door, running out of it as her life depended on it.
Never mind that. Jade rolled her eyes and closed to them once again ready to sleep when her eyes snapped open.
