[GL] The Eternal Life of Gao He Shen

Shen’s family raises them as a boy because they can't stand to bind their child's feet and let their kid suffer. However, she has to get married due to the village elder's suspicion and the thoughtful push of a noble woman of higher birth who wants him. And cue the introduction of Pei Ling. Pei Ling— an arrogant castle woman who has nowhere to go seeks the hand of Gao He Shen and a child; who's going to tell them He Shen's a woman? Historical context takes place during the fall of the Song empire and the rise of the Southern Song Empire. With the Northern Jin getting stronger and closer who knows what new troubles will arise in He Shen’s life? But seeing as aggression is building up on both sides of the war front as their young emperor takes the throne. Warnings: There is some history delineation at some point as this is based on a fictional character. Parents and elders arrange marriages Some lack of communication, but it gets better after the first time. Specifically because that character is a watch and learn type. There is a major god in the story, no they will not be introduced until later in the story and “magic” doesn’t get introduced until later as well. As this is historical context if I get things wrong please correct me as I have only studied for at least 6 months before writing this story every aspect that I would need for it. Story progression kicks off at the beginning. All of the characters weren’t made for you to like them, only for you to see them as human. I can’t draw well so you’re going to have to live with the cover I made.

World Class Scammer

In a world scarred by ancient conflicts between humans and elves, Key Creed, a resourceful half-elf with a knack for persuasion, navigates a precarious existence as a wandering salesman. Driven by a mix of wanderlust and a need to survive, Key travels from village to village, selling dubious products like colored water masquerading as magical elixirs and paper charms with supposed protective powers. Key's mixed heritage complicates his interactions; humans are wary of elves due to historical conflicts. Despite this, Key leverages his charisma and silver tongue to spin tales that captivate townsfolk, making them see him as a bridge to the mystical world of elves, even though his elven lineage is diluted. In the town of Edgefield, gripped by the ravages of White Iris disease, Key sees an opportunity to sell his latest creation: the Elixir of Vitality. Crafted from common herbs and embellished with tales of ancient elven wisdom, this potion promises relief from symptoms rather than a cure. Amidst the despair of afflicted townspeople, Key's sales pitch offers a glimmer of hope. Unbeknownst to him, his words begin to paint him as a potential savior in the eyes of the desperate populace. As Key engages with locals, including wary merchants and suffering families, he navigates a delicate balance between exploitation and compassion. His encounters reveal underlying tensions between magic and mundane, trust and deceit, in a world still scarred by historical animosities. Despite moral qualms, Key's need to survive and thrive drives him forward, blurring the lines between entrepreneurship and unintended heroism.
