I stepped into the office today with a motive. It was clear as day that it was time to clear off the weeds. My recent trip to the USA reinforced my decision today.
This was supposed to be something I did immediately after returning, but I had been distracted by a certain beauty. She was out of sight now, which meant it was time to get back to work. The thing about liking Maria was that it took all my concentration.
When she was around me, I couldn't think much of anything save for her. As much as I adored her, she was also the bane of my existence.
I walked into the lobby and nodded satisfactorily. There was no sign of life present, which meant everyone had gotten my email to converge at the boardroom. I proceeded down the corridor to my elevator.
