Chapter 155 - Chapter 154: Secured

Gave readers some time to enjoy Reverie during its release week.

For those who did enjoy Reverie, you guys should have a clearer picture of who Swin, Nadia and Ace are.

You guys probably noticed I started to catch up with my Pokemon fanfic during this time. Aside from that, I am currently 100% trophy hunting in Trails from Zero, about 75% of the way there. (I have CS1-4 100%, so I only have Zero and Azure to 100% before starting Reverie myself)

Giliath demands your power stones!

Unknown POV (A/N Does it help readers if I do this?)

Inside the main bathroom of Reinford Group's Twenty-Fourth Floor.

Three figures could be seen inside of the marbled tiled room. Aside from a washing area off to the side with a couple mirrors, a white bathtub could be seen in the center of the room, with its water currently filled. Aside from the long mark of red stretched from the open window to the foot of the bathtub, one would think this bathroom just belonged to that of a rich person's family. Well it did, but the figure who was currently occupying this bath could currently be seen dazed with their hair still dripping. The droplets of water were falling downward, slowly mixing in with the red marking next to it.

This long stretch of red was a pool of blood, and the scent of blood wafted in the bathroom. Its scent was powerful enough to wash away the soaps that the girl used prior. It was not a stench she had previously gotten used to, so she found it rather uncomfortable, ignoring the fact that there was a body beneath the bathroom, to which the blood was coming from. A lifeless corpse who had tried to kill her, but was stopped by the violet haired boy who had a timely arrival outside her window.

Yet on top of this dazed, this girl currently had her ears ringing, as not one but two large explosions shook the room just a couple moments ago. If one had a close look outside of the floor they were currently occupying, two large puffs of smoke could be seen escaping from each side of the large Reinford Building. On two separate floors of this castle-like building, large shattered windows could be seen with blazing fire roaring within the rooms. The once quiet and dark night was now lit up in flames. The few citizens who saw these two explosions froze stiff but it didn't take long for panic to reach their eyes. Yells of terror started to strike the inside of the industrious city, Roer.

It didn't take long for a loud siren to start sounding off inside the entire city. Many figures suddenly darted from the provincial office, as well as another army who started to swarm the city from the outskirts. Some officers were clad in orange uniforms with white linings hidden away in helmets. These soldiers were the Provincial Army officers tied to the Nortia Province. It was none other than the Rogner House who used this army, the Provincial Army. The other group wore grey and white uniforms and seemed more uniform than the Provincial Army. It didn't take long for this group to start escorting the citizens back into their houses, keeping them safe from the falling debris.

During this time, this second group saw a few workers with petrified looks in their eyes coming out of the first floor of the Reinford Group, along with a couple of private soldiers, and a single middle aged beautiful woman who had a stern look in her eyes. This particular woman appeared very beautiful, and sported the same colored hair as did the twelve year old girl who was further up inside the building. Thankfully the explosions happened on the middle floor, and her private residence was not touched. One of the managers who was working late tonight quickly approached this beautiful blonde haired woman.

"Madam Chairman, I think that's everyone. Wasn't your family staying up in the family residence though?", The manager asked, trying to compose himself from the sudden explosion that struck the building.

"You needn't pay attention to that, just focus on getting to safety. Sharon is with my daughter, so she'll protect her as that is the task she is currently assigned to. I still can't believe someone would be this brazen enough to attack our headquarters directly. This matter requires further investigation once things have settled down.", The beautiful woman answered without much emotion. This woman was the Chairman of the whole Reinford Group. Seeing her out on the second floor of Roer, her safety was now guaranteed. She was Irina Reinford, the mother of Alisa Reinford.

Seeing her pride up in flames, Irina took a good moment, only to see debris continue to fall down the area where the first explosion occurred, about a third of the way up the building.

As she observed the flames in silence, several figures quickly approached the stragglers who were staying up to work on the railway cannons. These cannons were set to move to Garrelia Fortress later this year to be installed, yet for them to experience a setback like this, worry couldn't help but appear in the few of the workers' eyes. About half had both worry and fear seeing the ongoing attack. Every so often, a shadowy figure would emerge from one of the windows on one floor, only to quickly hide away into another floor. If one counted closely, these figures counted a total of nine, each sporting a sword tucked away in their cloaks.

Yet as these figures moved about, the second group that tried to secure the safety of Roer's citizens managed to approach Irina and her workers. Among this group of people stood an icy-blue haired woman clad in a uniform of a higher rank herself.

"We've got it from here, Madam Chairman. To ensure your safety is completely secure, we would like you to follow us outside of the city. On behalf of the RMP, we'll promise that securing your family will be our top priority.", The icy-blue haired woman said, giving Irina a salute.

"Heh, I didn't think they'd send in the Icy Maiden to this mess. But I guess it is your guys' duty to clean up messes like this, so I for one will welcome it. Just make sure you do your jobs, unlike those stupid officers belonging to the Rogner House. You guys at least seem competent in what you guys do.", Irina answered the icy-blue haired woman, only to have a scoff in her tone. An annoyed look appeared in the woman's eyes seeing how Irina behaved who seemed to have no direct concern over her family who was still residing in the residence up top. The woman didn't even do anything before Irina started to walk away. She could only assign a couple RMP officers to Irina's side to make sure she was safely escorted out, along with the other workers.

Seeing Irina now gone, the icy-blue haired woman was now alone with her squad in front of the building.

"She's definitely something, alright. The reports weren't all that far off. Reinford Group's chairman, Irina Reinford. To think she would prioritize her own safety over her family's...", The icy-blue haired woman uttered softly to herself. At this time, one of the officers who was on the scene directly quickly approached her.

"Captain Rieveldt, we've secured the route. It seems the attack is still ongoing, but you may want to have a look at this. We've spotted some activity on the twenty-fourth floor.", A lower ranked officer said, only to toss the woman orbal binoculars. Taking the binoculars in hand, the woman soon had a visual on what was happening further up toward the top of the building.

The woman saw what appeared to be a violet haired boy standing sideways on the building itself. He was now wearing dark green plated armor, the same armor he had worn back in the battle in North Ambria. Everything else was hidden away inside the armor of his. A thin bladed sword was worn around his waist. On top of that, thanks to rolling one of the boxes earlier, but not all of them, this boy also had an orbal composite bow hoisted around his back. He was essentially dressed as a mercenary.

But that wasn't the only thing. This woman also saw a blonde haired girl currently covered in a long fancy robe fluttering in the wind clinging onto the boy's back. She had a scared look in her eyes, but also one that was hopeful. She held that gaze for a moment as a shadowy cloaked figure quickly came out from one of the higher floors, rushing right at the boy. With a swift motion of his blade, the boy blocked the incoming attack from the assailant, and struck out, with one clean stroke. The sword pierced the assailant's body, letting blood splatter onto the boy's armor.

The body ended up falling down onto the ground, deep into the sides of the Reinford Group's family. Bloodstains appeared on its side as the body dropped into the ground.

Seeing another attack launched on the boy, a cold air suddenly swept around the icy-haired woman's surroundings. Those few RMP Officers shuddered a bit, seeing their commanding officer become serious. Their eyes couldn't help but blink the moment this woman issued their next command.

"Secure the perimeter and leave no one alive.", The woman declared, causing a cold air to waft around the RMP Officers. It's not like they could deny her. After all she was Claire Rieveldt, their current commanding officer. Thankfully Claire was nearby doing perimeter sweeps of the majoring cities as part of her duty, despite recently enrolling in Thors Military Academy. She was able to step away from time to time, only to come across a situation like this. She took responsibility in both her studies and her work simultaneously.

And seeing as he was now involved, as an Ironblood, Claire knew she had to report tonight's happening to the Chancellor...
