So, should we join those guys in their game?"
"No," Cleo said almost immediately. "I prefer it here." She liked the steam rising from the water, and how it took away some of the tension off her body.
"Alright. Whatever you want." Lina jumped into the pool, splashing water everywhere. Her hair was drenched, and she shivered slightly.
"Are you cold?"
"Kinda. It's gotten less warm."
"You can leave if you want. I'll be fine by myself."
"Nah, I'm not leaving you alone." And after waiting for a beat, Lina said, "You should talk to him though."
"You think?"
"Yeah. I'll be here waiting for you."
Cleo had always liked Lina for her solidarity. "Okay, thanks."
