"I can see and hear you, Lina." She snapped. "There's no need to shout in my ear. Don't you have class or something? I didn't have this much free time in my junior year." 

"Pssh. Anyone listening would you think you were an epitome of a good student. Such wonderful attendance you-" her sarcastic response was cut short by a sudden silence in the hallway. 

Cleo knew, without looking, why the hallway turned into a cemetery. It had been the same throughout the past week. The door would kick open and Ezra Sawyer would waltz in, straight-faced, square-jawed and beautiful, march up to his locker with such defiance in his shoulders that made her wonder who he was angry at and what he was fighting against. 

I'm turning into a sappy mess.
