I sat there in silence and listened to her ask Alicia to come to her room. Alicia was there in less than a minute. It was almost like she had been waiting by the door, hoping for mum to call her.
'Kassy? What are you doing here?' She asked.
'I came to talk to mum about the same thing I talked to you on. I need the truth now, now all of that college bull crap you rained on me.'
I knew Alicia was lying when she spoke about college, there might have been some truth to it, but the story sounded too clean to be true.
'I told you the truth, Kassy. Why won't you let this go? No one is after us or Foreign, why do you want to open old wounds?' Alicia shouted.
'So, you acknowledge it as an old wound? You know it's a thing?' I asked her.
Alicia, just sit. I think it's high time we told Kassy the truth about all of it.' Mum said.
