'If she spoke, you'd probably run away.' Bryan said.
I laughed, he laughed, and the nurse laughed. It felt good to be able to laugh again without any form of guilt in my mind.
'Can I hold her when you finish?' I asked.
'Sure, as long as you burp her.' The nurse looked up at me with a questioning look.
It felt like she was judging me, but I could not blame her. I knew I could not burp Pink unless I was taught. Since she was born, I had only fed her once and my mum helped burp her.
'That's not a problem.' I lied.
'You do know how to burp a baby, right?' Bryan asked.
I wanted to tell him the truth, but I also did not want to appear weak to him or like a bad mother.
'Of course, I do. That's not a task at all.' I knew google was going to come to my aid.
'It's not but Pink is really small, her head is still wobbly and everything, are you sure you can pull this off?' Bryan asked.
I hated his tone of doubt.
