I thought about prom night and how mum had been so proud of me. But she was no more, there was no one to be proud of me anymore.
'Is she breastfeeding?' The doctor's question brought me back to reality.
'No, she isn't.' Dad replied.
'Yes, I am. I am breastfeeding my two-week-old daughter, Pink.' I said.
'Is she really?' Dr Cooper asked dad like I was insane and had no idea what I was talking about.
'What is that supposed to mean? Aren't I your patient? I tell you about something and you're asking my dad for confirmation?' I asked.
'Kassy, with the way you're acting right now, no one is far from the truth if they call you crazy.' George said.
'You think I'm crazy too? Then what are you doing here? What are you doing caring about a crazy person like me?' I stood up but the saline drip attached to my hand could only let me move to an extent.
