'What are you talking about?' I forced myself to sit up and then I saw dad sitting on one of the chairs in the room.
'You need to rest now. The doctor says your blood pressure was very high.' George patted my hair.
'My blood pressure was high?' I looked at dad.
I hated that I was in the hospital again. It was almost like I was to spend my whole life within the four walls of hospitals.
It was frustrating enough that I had lost my mother, was my health going to deprive me of being with my daughter too?
'Kassy, you should listen to George and just rest. It's been a while since you passed out and police investigations have begun on your mother's death.' Dad said.
He had thrown the words 'mother's death' around so carelessly. How could he even talk about his dead wife that way?
'What is wrong with everyone?' I shouted. I knew it was a bad idea for me to shout considering George had only just told me that my blood pressure was high.
