'Is this what will happen when the baby finally comes? Will you be around for a few minutes and then go back to your meeting?' I looked at him.
'No, I'm going to take my paternity leave. Don't worry about when the baby comes, we need to cross this hurdle first.'
I hated how cool-headed he was. It felt too unreal to me, but I wanted him to keep acting that way, one of us needed to be objective.
