'Okay. Pilar, I'll bring Kolin out in a minute. He doesn't know you so you might want to slow down before picking him up or playing with him. He gets really nervous around new faces.'
'He's a child, he can't get nervous. Is this how you people treat him? Like a broken toy?'
She was saying words that did not make any sense. All she really wanted was to make Alicia look very bad.
'If you don't let him be, he's going to cry.' I left them in the living room and went to Alicia's room to see Kolin.
He was sound asleep and I hated that I had to disturb him. Before waking him up, I called Alicia.
