'Did you get pregnant?' She looked at me questioningly.
I did not know what her reaction was going to be like and I was scared she was not going to support my decision but still, I wanted to know what her take on everything was.
'Yes.' I said almost in a whisper.
The look on her face was very neutral, like she did not care if my answer was yes or no but I knew a lot was going through her mind.
She was probably wondering what I was going to do with the baby and if I knew how financially draining children were, especially for middle class families like mine.
'How many months pregnant are you?' She asked.
'It's two months and a week. Nine weeks.' I said.
She leaned into the chair she sat on as though figuring out the best route for me to take.
'Are you keeping it?' She asked.
I did not want to answer her question because I did not want her asking that question.
'Am I keeping it?'
