Alicia came into my room with Kolin in her arms. She rushed in and her breathing was fast and heavy.
'Is anything the matter?' I asked.
'Eric is here. Are you ready?' She asked.
'No. I need to brush my teeth.'
'Fine, I'll wait. I just don't want to go there alone.'
She walked in and pulled out my reading chair then sat on it. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth, then we headed to the living room.
Eric was as handsome as I remembered.
His hairline was not perfect anymore but the features on his face made up for it. He was not smiling as much as he used to, and he smelled like vanilla and caramel which was a weird smell for a man.
'Kassy, I'm sorry I haven't come to see you but trust me, I'm more than glad that you're back.' His voice was also the same but the speed with which he spoke had slowed down a bit.
'I didn't tell you she got back.' Alicia said.
'I called him. I guess I wanted him to know.' I said.
